Keeping Renewal a permanent experience

• So wake up...(Revelation 3 v 1 - 6 )
• Do not neglect the spiritual gift that is in you (1 Timothy 4 v 14)
• So then my brothers [ and sisters], try even harder to make God's call and his choice of you a permanent experience : if you do do, you will never abandon your faith (2 Peter 1 v 10 )

Our Calling

• God is calling us to faithfulness
• God is calling us to "wake up"
• God is calling us to "return to the fervour that was ours when we first accepted Jesus as Lord"
• God is calling us to use the spiritual gifts we have been given

Why this call now?

• Have we become complacent in our attitude to God, his Word, the prompting of the Spirit, and one another?
• Are we failing to listen and respond?

How do we respond?

• Repent
• Pray (especially for a new outpouring of the Spirit)
• Listen
• Discern
• Act

Prayer

• Lord Jesus help me to wake up
• Renew within me the fervour that was mine when I first accepted you as Lord
• Renew within me the gift of your Spirit
• help me to use my gifts and listen and respond to your Word
• Amen
