Alone

Alone in the world
Surrounded by those who won't...
Alone in the world
Forced by those who can't...
Alone in the world
Loved by the shadows
And loving to not care.
To be surrounded,
To be forced,
All by those who won't,
Who just cannot
Live past the day
Into the glories of night.
Set your mind free
And glimpse into the shadows
Only then can you see,
And truly know me.
Born of the dark,
A shadow too light.
Do you see what it is to be?
Can you know how to enjoy
The thrills of the dark?

Confusion

a little child
lost in the world
made for adults
no one to guide him
to shelter him from pain
to hold his hand
make sure he's ok
to decide for him
and he's alone
unprepared for the
decision thrust at him
he cries, looking around
no one is around...
no help anymore...
its up to you now, child
all up to you
it could be heaven
it could be right
it could be hell
it could be wrong
and he stumbles
unable to decide
so he sits and cries.

Fear

Darkened halls

Vanilla scents

Closed eyes

Scared mind

Running away

From the monster

Of many fears

Catching up now

It's been years

Run faster, run

In his final flee

Make not a sound

Not a final plea

Sounds closer

Heart beats faster

Now all over

In front is

The nightmare from which he ran

Looking it up and down

Recognition dawned

on his face.

It was he, himself

From another time,

another place.

Scream

"Stop!"
A child's broken scream.
"Stop!"
A teenager's broken dream.
"Stop!"
It's my broken scream, now.
"Stop!"
It's my all my broken dream of life.

"Leave me alone... please?"
A child's whimper to the dark.
"Leave me alone... please?"
A child's plea to those above.
"Leave me alone... please?"
It's my voice, now, cracked and bloody.
"Leave me alone... please?"
Now we see me pleading on my knees.

"I can't take much more."
A child's forceful words.
"I can't take much more."
Screaming to the unseen pain.
"I can't take much more."
I know I shall soon break.
"I can't take much more."
And I do naught but collapse.
