Remmington "Remmy" Steel died early Wednesday morning peacefully in his sleep. ( March 10th, 2004 ). This frog was a special frog to some, and to others an incredible legend. "The-Frog-Who-Will-Never-Die!" some called him, or others new him well as "The-Undying-Frog." But by whatever name you knew him by, he was a frog. He was large frog, but he wasn't always. He began like any other frog does, as a tad of a tadpole. Living at the Gregory's toy store, when my mother left her job there, she brought him home, and gave him the name Remmington Steel. A great name for the legend that would come. He grew big and outgrew his aquarium cube. I, with mine own money bought him a new bigger aquarium rectangle. Remmington grew blind in his old age and liked to spend most of his hours banging his body against the walls of his house. Tragedy came to this frog, some would say too soon. I mean - an undying frog - he shouldn't die should he? Why?! why? why... His approximent age in human years came to around 10 years. 10 long years. I cleaned his cage, my mother fed him. He was a frog. I cleaned him the night before his death infact. He had a rough night but death freed him in the morning. He died breathing clean water, that's the best I could do for him. He was always there for me when no one else was there to be there for me... He was a frog. The funeral service was held Wednesday the 10th during school hours. He is burried in my back yard next to the lilac tree. Any money contributions to the "Keep-Landon-and-His-Family-Out-of-Depression-Fund" can be given to Landon. Remmington Steel - A true friend, a true frog. ∆

I must regrettably announce the closing of ghouse due to elements beyond my control and to avoid political heresy. Twas a great run for ghouse, full of laughter, and sometimes tears. Some will never forget ghouse, others will not remember. Thus, I write my final article under the suffix : house. Can ghouse be replaced? Is there another place where joking and jesting and joy and athletic pandering could grow in abundance? Where children can frolic in the grass because of the g-rated atmosphere? Where people could converse : of the non-shoe type with each other unadulterated by the outside world? Where an unknown guest would infiltrate the beloved aura of the house and cause havoc? Where superiority would so shine as to cause the fall of foot-soldiers? Where people, young and old, could enjoy one another’s company and writings? Where works of art such as “rise and shout” and “conversion” could be published? Ghouse was more than a house. To some, it was a home.
Ghouse graduated this past summer. Its high school experience was full of fun through and through; however, it knew it needed to move on with its life. Ghouse went to college throughout utah. It was visited in record numbers once it began its freshman year. The friendships it has sustained are many. With the incorporation of its dear friend of the chatting sort, ghouse began to love life to the fullest extent. The summer after graduation, ghouse met up with his friend foot-soldiers and took up the sport of bike riding. They climbed death’s hill, or eaglewood, that summer. Thus, the peloton was formed.
The definition of peloton is --
1. a group or team striving for excellence or victory
2. an athlectic term for the leading pack
The peloton is the next level of ghouse. It is striving for both excellence and victory. "Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen." Ghouse is Albert Einsteins definition of common sense. The Peloton, is the sum of these forces. ∆
