The most precious keepsake a married couple can have of their wedding day is their wedding album(s). All things change and age but those precious images of your wedding day will remain fresh each time you look through the pages of your wedding album. Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your married life, with only one chance to capture that moment of love, romance, joy and glamour forever. Therefore, choosing a photographer who really understands your needs for your wedding day is important. A good professional photographer doesn't just snap away throughout the wedding day, but he plans ahead of time. He meets up with the couple before the actual day to discuss what they want and expect, and to get to know them better. This is an important step in the whole process as the better you know the couple, the better the photographer can bring out their true personalities in the images. The photographer is also an important part of your wedding. He helps in planning, timing and of course, in sharing your joy and romance with your loved ones. Therefore, an open and honest relationship with your photographer is important. |

A
good way of finding out whether the photographer that you have been recommended
is really good is to ask your friend about their personal experiences
with their chosen photographer. First of all, if you are satisfied with
the images that he had taken, the next important thing to consider is,
how well can you work with him? Being technically skilled is important,
but the photographer's personality and professional behavior is another
important aspect. On your wedding day, you will have a lot to occupy your
attention; therefore, you would want a photographer with whom you can
work with ease. A good photographer interacts well and makes you feel
relaxed, and encourages you to take your time. He will make you feel as
if he is a good friend of yours.

Everyone have their own preferences and likes. Some simply prefer outdoor locations and some simply prefer studio shots. Now of course, 90% of the time people's impression is that a photographer who has a studio is a professional. This is true, yet not always true. Working in a studio has it's advantages over working on location(outdoor). If you are a person who like indoor studio shots and you simply prefer to be in the air-conditioned room, then a studio is the best choice for you. But, those who are more adventurous will prefer outdoor location shots. In a studio, the photographer has the full control of the environment; meaning lighting, atmosphere and, of course, the "weather". Lighting in the studio can be repeated and recreated as you like. On location(outdoor), one will have to work according to what Nature is blessing us on that day. Now, know that every single moment in nature only occurs once. There is no way of recreating that ray of light falling on your face or the gentle reflection you get from a pond. You also get to choose to have your shots taken at your favorite dating locations where you've always been courting over the past years or the spot where you met for the first time. Your wedding is all about you and your partner. It's simply about capturing images of what you do and like. Don't feel bad to ask me for recommendation on which studio to take your studio shots. A professional knows what he trust in style, quality and standard. For a good professional photography studio in Kuching, I recommend www.alvinleong.com |

Every photographer charges differently. Each have their own style of taking pictures, working and running their photography business, and not forgetting the level of skills and experience. The prices I listed in the Packages page is just an estimate. Every couple is different, and so is the wedding and everything it entails. Every couple have their personal preferences; some may like to have lots of photos of their wedding day and some just simply want a few as souvenirs. Some are very generous in spending for their wedding photography and some are not as generous. Choosing a photographer based purely on the charges and not the skills will one day be a regret. One can always invest a little bit less in other aspects of the wedding day, and invest more on your wedding photography. In a wedding, you invest a lot of money in organizing all the other needs for a wedding day, but the one and only investment that will forever brings you joy and wonderful memories of your wedding day is the images of your wedding. For me, making money from photography is not the reason why I became a photographer in the first place. So take your time and meet up with me for a chat and see what we can work out together for your wedding day. |

On the wedding day, you may only see the photographer for a few hours; snapping away, interacting with you friends and relatives (with his alert eyes on the look out for great moments to take place). It all seems like an easy and glamorous job. But very often people do not realize how much concentration and effort is put into creating great images of a wedding day. The photographer's job does not end at the end of the wedding day. In fact, he started work even before the wedding day started and is still working long hours after the wedding day has ended. A good wedding photographer plans ahead before the actual day, and spends many long hours getting the images processed and printed out. When all this is done, he has to design the album and arrange all the images (most of the time hundreds of images). Not forgetting that in my case, the wedding album is handmade by myself. Besides workmanship, a good professional photographer uses professional equipment and trustworthy professional lab, unlike amateurs. Remember, you're not just paying for the material; you're paying for a perfectionist's craftsmanship, style and experience. |

Anyone
can own a great and expensive camera. But does he has the experience and
skills? Quality images is not created just by the use of great cameras,
and it simply does not happen by chance. A good photographer has the creative
mindset to see things differently, and alert eyes to capture it at the
right moment. Your photographer also plays a role in helping you to coordinate
the flow of the day as he needs to work under time constrains. Images
created by a skillful wedding photographer will flow as the story of your
wedding day.

I
take pride in my images, and so do other professional photographers. We
have quality control over the finished prints and we have our trusted
professional labs to handle our prints. Each photographer has his/her
own style. Many people think that photographers keeps the negatives simply
because they want to make more money when more prints are needed. This
is not always the case. A simple image can be processed and printed
in many ways. The reprints may cost you a little more than doing it yourself.
One has to remember that the extra cost goes to the time and effort of
quality control and setting a standard.
