This section is called "Letter to the Editor" because it fits best for this. Here you will find My Ruin's spoof cover of Metal Hammer and some emails that were sent out. So enjoy, feel free to post these around, put them on your site or send off to other My Ruin fans/friends.

Also remember that music is not about a person's weight! Even though some music journalists may argue that really isn't what music journalism should be about. A successful product is an honest review, interview, coloumn, etc - not a bullshit kiss ass or dissing which barely comments on the music piece. If the honest opinion is a bunch of dissing - make sure it's about the music not weight or looks or whatever. MUSIC IS ABOUT MUSIC - geez! Why must that be so hard to remember today?!

Another thing I'll comment on is how come women are the ones that get the comments? Well I shouldn't forget the few men talked about after putting on weight - example the comments made about Chino Moreno with the release of White Pony - we all know he put on a few pounds but so fucking what?! It doesn't have a damn thing to do with the music he makes. The same goes for Tairrie B or any other woman who has been insulted. I personally don't even think that Tairrie is fat or anything. She looks quite thin to me and even if she was overweight who the fuck would care? If she was 400 lbs I'd still be listening to her music 'cuz I believe that it is good and enjoy listening to it!
Why doesn't anyone ever comment on how big Dino (Fear Factory) or Stef (deftones) or Fred (Limp Bizkit) is?! I don't believe I've ever seen a journalist comment on how big those guys are or how many donuts they've been eating! Did any journalists ever whine about how big Elvis was in his last years? Or how big Missy Elliot is? Or how Jewel isn't a toothpick? I could keep going but what is the point? It all comes down to the same thing in the end. Weight is not a factor but somehow manages to be pushed into music journalism when it shouldn't even be a part of it.

Moving along to the subject of women in rock. Oh man could I really vent here. There are many amazing women out there in the music world putting out their kinda music, and I give them mad respect! Fuck this bullshit about pinning women against each other or comparing them and all that bullshit. If anything women are the stronger sex in the music world. Honestly it's so much easier for a man to break into the music industry then it is for a woman, especially in heavy music, so give gurls the damn credit and respect they deserve.
My Ruin has 3 awesome women in it. They are doing what they love to do - playing music. They deserve a huge amount of respect for it whether they are liked or not by an individual. I put Tairrie's vocals up there with the vocal's of men, yeah that's right I think she has the heaviest fucking vocals I've ever heard for a woman. There's a lot of emotion behind it, heart behind it, darkness behind it.
Meghan is killer on bass. It's heavy and incredible - if I played bass I would certainly look up to her as an influence/inspiration.
I'm also sure Yael is amazing on the drums. Haven't heard her play yet but by looking at her background - goddamn that woman must be hard!
I am nothing but impressed with the sound of My Ruin. It's truly wonderful heavy music that has been missing from music today. If anything Mick has only made the sound even better and heavier. Even though I may not be that old, I have still heard and seen a lot of bands. My Ruin is a band that can hold it's own out there in the music world and still be honest and actually give a shit about their fans. I was lucky enough to be able to interview 3/4 of the band and they were kind, thankful and supportive of this site! I thank them once again for everything!!! You can say I'm kissing ass but fuck that shit - I'm being totally truthful and saying what's on my mind.
I'm behind My Ruin 100% on this and that is why I created this section. Enough of my ranting - I shoulda posted somewhere else but oh well.
