STORY 1

There were 2 dogs. One was a light colored dog and one was a dark colored dog. They were alike in every way, but one. That one difference between them made them complete opposites. While both dogs showed love and affection for their master, the dark colored dog one day turned, and bit the hand of it's master who fed him, despite the master's true love towards the dog, whereas, the light colored dog never turned on it's master.

Now, what is the meaning of the story and what do the 2 dogs represent?

STORY 2

There was a boy who went to church on Sunday. He prayed the Our Father along with everyone else at the mass, as well as all the other prayers. Later in the week, the boy was going to the store to pick up some much needed things. He had made this trip to the store many times before and was quite familiar with the way to arrive and to get home, and also the other possible ways that he could take to arrive at the same destination. On this day, he was headed to the store in his usual route that he had taken many times before. He had an idea that, "Maybe today, I will take another route," but as he was walking, he ended up going in the same route that he had always taken in the past, and he did not know why, but thought nothing of it. As he started to cross the street, a bus was coming and swerved out of the way of hitting a stray animal in the road and as a result was on a direct collision course with an older woman who was just in front of the boy. The boy saw all of this and ran to push the woman out of the way of the bus and thus saved her life. He thought, "Boy, it is a good thing that I did not take the other route or I would have not been able to save the lady," and he thought that he knew why, now, that he did not go the other way as he had planned.

On this day, he was headed to the store in his usual route that he had taken many times before. He had an idea that, "Maybe today, I will take another route," and as he approached the final street to take, he took the other route as he had intended. As he started to cross the street, a bus was coming and swerved out of the way of hitting a stray animal in the road and as a result was on a direct collision course with an older woman. The boy heard the bus swerving as he turned around to look in the spot that he just occupied. He saw the older woman crossing the street, but he was too far away since he took another route and the bus hit the lady, killing her. The boy thought, "If only I would have not changed my direction I would have been right in a position to save the lady." The boy felt very guilty for a long, long time and always wondered why it was that he changed his route on that particular day instead of going in his usual way to the store.
Why should the first boy not take credit and the second boy not feel guilty and what is the difference between the two boys?
