STORY 2 ANSWER

The boy in the first part of the story did NOT save the lady's life and the boy in the second story is not responsible for FAILING to save the lady's life, even though that is the way they felt and here is the reason: Did they not pray The Our Father? Then they prayed, "Thy Will be done," and even if they did not pray that themselves, God's Will shall still be done. Only God can give or save a life and only God decides when it is time to claim our reward or punishment, whichever the case may be, and of course, only God can change that day when it is to be so. Is it not God's own doing to arrange even for the circumstances to make His Will be done? I think so. Even though we all have our own free will to make our own choices, if a person's life is to be prolonged, for whatever reason God may see fit, then it shall be God that makes it possible here on earth, and although, the second boy was feeling terribly guilty because he changed his path, would God not have had another person there to save that lady if that would have been His Will? Of course He would have, so the second boy is really not responsible, nor is the first boy to be given credit, for he was only there in that spot to make God's Own Will be done. Now, as for the difference between the 2 boys: There is NO difference. It is the SAME boy. It is only 2 possible outcomes to the same situation, or story, and it is God ONLY that is responsible for whichever ending is to be. God will put everyone where ever it is necessary for them to be so that His Will can be done.
