Fearless Photog was the winning idea in the Mattel "create a character" contest from the 80s. This is the drawing that was in the newspaper, which I stole from he-man.org. I remember seeing Fotog & 4 other finalists in the Sunday newspapers. I didn't submit an idea because I found out about it after the deadline but I do remember that one of the finalists was just an enormous eye with “He-man type" arms & legs sticking out of it & he had a Grayskull spear. Another finalist was a large net with female eyes. I guess that idea kind of grew on Mattel because they ended up using it. ;) The other 2 finalists, I don't remember at all, except thinking that they were dumb ideas.
I was going to use the original green/yellow color scheme but then I decided to give him an origin so I made a few cosmetic changes. Make sure you click on each of the pictures. As you can see, I am able to insert many different pictures into fotog. I can even store pictures in his chest cavity! I cut up an old "Double-Edged Sword" mini-comic & used it as "pictures" because my printer broke. He took about 4 months to make because I started out using the limbs from Man-at-arms then I tried Trapjaw's but ended up using Man-e-faces. he has a tri-klops head with a trapjaw arm as the camera & a rio blast chest. His head & arms turn, his legs work & he twists at the waist. I wouldn't drop him but other than that, he's definitely playable!
