Lindsay Dole on The Practice
Kelli Williams portrays Lindsay Dole, the ambitious, young lawyer who last season pushed for, and won, partnership in the law firm, now called Donnell, Young, Dole & Frutt.
In the summer of '99, Williams completed production on the upcoming telefilm, "Flowers for Algernon," co-starring Matthew Modine. Based on the novel by Daniel Keyes, the film tells the love story of a developmentally disabled bakery worker (Modine), who becomes part of a lab experiment and falls in love with his researcher (Williams).
She will also soon be seen in VH-1's first television feature, "Sweetwater." It is a fact-based drama about a television producer (Williams) assigned to track down the surviving members of Sweetwater, a rock group that played at Woodstock in 1969. Co-starring Amy Jo Johnson, Michelle Phillips and Frederic Forrest, "Sweetwater" is set to premiere in 1999.
Williams made her feature film debut in director Floyd Mutrux's "There Goes My Baby" opposite Dermot Mulroney and Noah Wyle. She later appeared in the independent film, "E=MC2," with Jeremy Piven.
Williams was a series regular on the television drama, "New York News," with Mary Tyler Moore. She has also starred in such telefilms as "The Jim and Jennifer Stolpa Story," Ron Silver's "Lifepod" and "For Their Own Good," opposite Elizabeth Perkins and Laura San Giacomo. She was most recently seen in the acclaimed television feature, "Mary and Tim," with Candice Bergen. In addition, she has guest starred on numerous series, including "Law & Order," "Party of Five," "Sisters" and "Civil Wars."
She currently resides in her native Los Angeles with her husband and son.
