IT'S A BOY!: Practice Emmy-winner Camryn Manheim — due to give birth to her first child in April — told Sunday's Parade magazine that she is expecting a boy. The 39-year-old thesp has thus far declined to name the baby's father. Our money is on David Crosby.

Kelli Williams's Practice - from US Weekly
The actress juggles her role as a lawyer on The Practice with her life as a pregnant mother at home by Monica Rizzo.

It's a typical morning at Kelli Williams's house. Her dogs, Ella, a pit bull, and Petey, a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, are barking for her attention; her 2-year-old son, Kiran, lets it be known that he's ready for his nap; and her pregnant belly tells her she needs food--now. Luckily her husband, writer Ajay Sahgal, appears, offering to help.
Williams kisses him goodbye and escapes a couple of minutes away to her favorite corner table at Figaro Boulangerie, in Los Feliz, CA. She orders an apple tart and a steaming cup of decaf cappucino, then sits back and enjoys what happens next. Which is nothing. It's a rare moment in her life, one that Williams savors.
At 30, she looks sweet in black pants, a short-sleeved peasant blouse and sandals. No makeup, no problems. Williams is in the middle of her fifth season as defense attorney Lindsay Dole on ABC's drama The Practice. After a shaky couple of seasons, the series about a Boston law firm has come into it's own, routinely landing in the top 10 Nielsen ratings The same can be said of Williams, who is making her mark as the TV wife of Dylan McDermott (her pregnancy has been written into the show). "She has the twin virtues of self-assurance and accessibility," says Practice executive producer Bob Breech. "She has an ability to grab moments and make them feel real."
Williams's real life is following the kind of script that ends happily ever after. The youngest child of Shannon Wilcox, an actress, and John Williams, a prominent plastic surgeon, Williams and her older brother, Sean Williams, an Internet developer, grew up in Bel-Air CA, surrounded by swimming pools and movie stars (Sonny and Cher and Johnny Carson were neighbors). While her father was busy reconfiguring the looks of the rich and famous, he assured his daughter that she was perfect as is. "He always joked with me that all the work I needed was done in the womb," she says.
During her senior year at Beverly Hills High School, Williams snagged the lead in Romeo and Juliet and afterward decided on acting as a career. " I sent out probably 150 pictures--my makeshift head shots--around town, and I think two people responded," she says. "But I got an agent out of one of them."
And work. In 1988, she landed a role on the sitcom Day by Day with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Williams's big break came in 1990, when she played Elvis Presley's high-school sweetheart in the Elvis television miniseries. She also received her first sizable paycheck. "I bought a Land Cruiser," she says. "I had a sticker on it that said ELVIS BOUGHT ME THIS CAR."
She found love when she met Sahgal in 1994. Though they had seen each other around town, they connected one night at the Chateau Marmont at a party celebrating the publication of Sahgal's first novel, Pool. "We got along instantly," she says. "He was a wanted man that evening." By the time they married two years later in Montecito, CA, they were planning ahead. "I always knew I wanted to be a mom," says Williams. "There wasn't ever a time I didn't want that."
She and Sahgal are expecting their second child in February. But motherhood and a full-time acting job don't leave time to schedule even morning sickness. "The first pregnancy, it was nap whenever you want, go to a movie, go to dinner, drive across town for a craving," she says. "But this time, I can't nap unless [Kiran] is napping. I've never been more tired in the last few years, but it's just life."
Williams regularly takes Kiran to the set, where her workday runs 10 to 16 hours. There's a nanny to watch him when the cameras are rolling, but between scenes Williams sings, reads, and plays catch with her boy. When baby No. 2 arrives, she plans to bring him or her to the set too. "She's found that balance between being a successful actress and being a mom with a family," Practice costar Marla Sokoloff says. "They're both full-time jobs, and she always knows her lines perfectly."
Well, not always. "One time when my son was very young, I made the mistake of letting my nanny bring him in and watch a rehearsal," says Williams. "I heard him coo, the tiniest little noise. That was it, my brain was mush. I couldn't remember a line to save my life."

Who is dressing the pregnant Practice???

When a star is pregnant, she calls Lauren Sara.

Maternity wear designer Lauren Sara used to thumb through the National Enquirer while doing her Sunday night grocery shopping, looking for potential celebrity clients.

Although there are two pregnancy story lines currently under way on ABC's "The Practice," where actresses Kelli Williams and Camryn Manheim are both expecting, Sara's only been involved in dressing Williams, for whom she's been asked to provide some jackets, she said.

"Their recipe is very strict," she said, calling for dark colors and conservative lines - a look more severe than many of the real-life lawyers she dresses choose, she said.

The plus-size Manheim, Sara suspects, already has most of her clothes custom-made and will probably continue that through her pregnancy. "If it ain't broke, why fix it?" she said.

On "The Practice," she said, "the wardrobe person won't tell me what's happening with the storyline of this woman's [Williams'] pregnancy," she said. "And that so doesn't matter to me. I need shoulder measurements."

Jack Nicholson and Lara Flynn Boyle Together?

Here's more evidence Jack Nicholson and Lara Flynn Boyle are still a couple.

(Manasquan, New Jersey-AP) -- Here's more evidence Jack Nicholson and Lara Flynn Boyle are still a couple. Or, it's just that she has a great interest in seeing school buildings.

Nicholson's taken Boyle on a tour of his old high school in New Jersey.

There were there last week.

Manasquan High School plans on naming its auditorium after Nicholson.

As it is, the school already presents the Jack Nicholson Drama Achievement Award to the student who does the most for the drama club.

Nicholson graduated high school in 1954. That was before Boyle was born.
