Have you ever been typing (well of course you have) and you're going along minding your own business when some random letter pops up?

For example:

Well, when you're alone it's not all that embarrassing. But when you're online typing with your friends in a chatroom, instant messages or whatever -- you feel like a bonehead because this random letter you had no intention of typing pops up. Then quickly following the letter-mishap, you find yourself saying, "Ignore the random 'a'."

Okay maybe this hasn't happened to everyone but it happened to us all the time. "Ignore the random..."

Well, one day we were sitting around talking about a publishing company that we should start, and it was suggested that we call it The Random...Something.

There are 26 letters of the alphabet to choose from. So we went with the most underused letter: Q! Then following that were the abbreviations for "ignore random" (IR) and "ignore missing" (IM)letters.
