Dear Readers,
Although my intentions are honorable, I am sure someone
out there is going to try and make my life a bit difficult in some way,
shape or form and so, in forethought, I would like to make it known that
all of the information herein has been researched by myself through tangible
books. My proof is in the citations found throughout the web site. All
quotes from such texts have been cited accordingly. I am not a plagiarist
nor do I condone the act thereof and, above all, I am not looking to make
a profit off this web site whatsoever.
This site is for informational purposes. If you
wish to use the information herein for school or other works, you may do
so without my permission although I do urge you to cite the respective
author's. As I have said, I took no data off the internet, however,
I have perused various web sites pertaining to E.A.P. and his poem "The
Raven" and found a good portion of the information to be contradictory
to what I found in my own volumes - although I must say that I found a
lot of "Poe-sites" that were impeccably well created. (I would have notified
the respective Web masters and author's but that would have taken forever
and unfortunately I have little time in which to complete this. Please
accept my apologies.)
The only thing I can say that I acquired from the
web are the two images on the main page. I found them in areas where pictures
were available for public use and where a copyright was not a factor, according
to the respective sources. If, for some reason, you do happen to own the
copyright to either image, please email me immediately and we will see
what we can do about correcting the accidental infringement. Well, I think
that about covers it. My apologies for having to add this to the site but
it is a necessity in today's world. Please enjoy the rest of the show.
Sincerely,
Greg
Editor / Owner of "The Raven's Web"
