Birdin's Interchange Gallery

This is what I call the Bethel interchange, for its resemblence to the interchange between Bethel Road and S.R. 315 in Columbus. It is essentially a diamond with a connenction on only one side.
Here is a full diamond interchange, although local circumstances necessitated the relocation of an entrance track. Since both stations share a single signal segment, this would not be suitable for high-traffic situations. However, circumstances may require this type of design even for two high-volume stations.
This, the cloverleaf, is the most elegant way to connect two high-volume lines.
One leg of the cloverleaf interchange has been removed here. This design is useful when one line ends at another but may be extended.
Here is a trumpet interchange. Like the half-cloverleaf above, but optimized. However, this interchange is not readily expanded like the previous one.
