| Saiyan Saga When Dragon Ball Z begins, we are introduced to Gohan, Goku's five-year-old son. During this time, a Saiyan lands on Earth and seeks out Goku, he finds a high power level, but it turns out to be Piccolo, a brief altercation occurs, but before Radditz can finish off Piccolo, he sees a higher level on his scouter. Immediately he goes to the source, and finds Goku. After hurting Krillin, he tells that he is Radditz, Goku's older brother and asks Goku to join the Saiyans in their quest for universal domination. When Goku refuses, Radditz decides to kidnap Gohan to force Goku to join him. However, Goku decides that he will get Gohan back by killing Radditz. Piccolo allies with Goku and they begin fighting Radditz. While Piccolo gathers the energy to do a super fireball, Goku stalls time. He eventually puts Radditz into a tail hold and Piccolo lets his fireball go and hits both Radditz and Goku. Krillin finds the warriors and laughs that Goku will be brought back to life through the Dragon balls. Radditz uses his scouter to radio the news about the Dragon balls back to his partners and dies. When Gohan head butted Radditz in the fight and damaged him, Piccolo decides to take it upon himself to train Gohan. Meanwhile, Goku is sent on a journey through Snake Way to receive training from King Kai and the rest of the Z warriors are gathered to receive training from Kami. One year later, Nappa and Vegeta arrive on Earth to find the Dragon Balls and be granted the wish of immortality. The Z warriors find Nappa and Vegeta and they begin fighting. Nappa starts off by planting 6 Saibamen, and figures, that this is enough for now. After Tenshin-han defeats one easily, Yamcha decides to fight one. After beating it pretty bad, Yamcha starts bragging about how he can beat therest, but the one he fought pulls a Kamikaze move, and kills Yamcha. Krillin, enraged by this uses a Kakusan Ha, and kills odd the rest of the Saibamen. His blast though, does not manage to even wind the two Saiyans. Now the rest of the Z warriors concentrate on Nappa while Vegeta watches in the background. In a series of battles, Chauzu dies when he sacrifices himself in an attempt to blow up Nappa, Tenshin-han dies when he uses all his strength trying to kill Nappa, and Piccolo dies when he covers Gohan from a fireball from Nappa. Eventually Goku shows up and begins fighting Nappa. Nappa, seeing that he is being beaten, tries to retreat. Goku pursues him and does a Kaio-Ken, snapping Nappa's spine. Nappa asks Vegeta to help him. Vegeta throws Nappa into the air and kills him with one fireball. Then all the rest of the Z Warriors converge on Vegeta. Vegeta, seeing that the odds were against him, performs a full moon and turns into a giant gorilla. He starts beating up on every one until Yajirobe cuts off his tail. Goku donates energy to Krillin and the blast hits Vegeta, but he survives. Meanwhile, Gohan also turns into his full moon stage and starts kicking Vegeta around until Vegeta cuts off his tail. Gohan shrinks back to normal size and lands right on top of Vegeta. Weary and beaten, Vegeta crawls back to his spaceship and leaves. |
