JOHANNES (Johann) Baptista LINGG b. 28 Feb. 1793, was a son of Joseph Dominic Francis Lingg (b. 10 June, 1761) and Klara Graber (. ca 1768, she died 28 Feb. 1793 as a result of giving birth to Johannes.

Joseph Dominic Frances Lingg married Anna maria Affentranger on 09 Feb. 1795.

 Nicholas (b. 11 Jan. 1796, d. 3 October 1877)

According the Adams County, PA 1850 Census, Nicholas Lingg immigrated from Switzerland. Nicholas appears to have arrived in the US circa 1820,possibly with several brothers. Joseph, who resided in the Phila.Pa area, and Alois, who was approx. age 10 at the time. Alois is listed on an 1830 PA census and 1850 & 1860 census's for the Beaufort District of South Carolina. The census lists a wife,Mary, and children, all born in SC. He was born in 1796 and died 1877. Nicholas married Catharine Brichner (Brichener, Bruchner, ?) on 04 Feb 1823. Catherine (b. 30 Apr 1802, d. 13 Aug 1849) was the daughter of Peter and Anna Margaret (Kuhn) Bruchner. Nicholas and Catharine had 10 children,

Five years after Catharine died, Nicholas married Elizabeth Weaver. Nicholas Lingg came to this country as a servant, but when he died in 1877, he owned land in Oxford, Hamilton, and Union township in Adams County, PA. Nicholas and his first wife (Catharine) are buried at Conewago chapel, near Hanover, PA. The tombstone is still standing in the fifth row behind the church on the right.

Henry Mark married Virginia Rider (dau. of Michael and Mary (Kraft) Rider) who was born in Maryland. In 1860, he and his wife lived in Germany township near Littlestown, PA. Eventually Henry Lingg moved his family to the Emmitsburg area where he worked as a mason. It is believed that he learned this trade from a neighbor in PA. Henry and Virginia had the following children,

Michael Nicholas married Margery O'toole (dau. of Thomas and Ann Catherine (Shorb) O'toole). Their children were,

Felix Henry married Mary Rosella Brawner (dau. of John and Mary Brawner). Mary Rosella was born April 7, 1885 and died Aug. 7, 1951 at age 65. Felix and Mary had the following children,
