A-340
Longest aircraft in the world...looks cool, doesn't it ? This was the first time the Airbus A340-600 made traffic patters...and fortunately the weather was great AND runway 15R was closed which means that you didn't need a strong lens to get some good ones...(good shots of course)
On Location Toulouse 13/05/2001
Is it gonna touch down ? No - it remained at that height until the end of the runway when full power was applied and a steep right turn initiated...looked pretty cool!
Nice plane, nice weather - what else do we need ?
The A340-600 looks good from just about every angle, including this one :-)
Seriously Do I need to say anything ?
'Cos I dont think I do
THE A340-200 - PATHFINDER TO PROFITABILITY

261 passengers in a three-class cabin layout, and in a super-high comfort configuration of 239 seats has a range of 8000 nautical miles. Powered by CFM56-5C engines.

The A340 is designed to do what four-engined aircraft do best: it offers greater range at lower cost than any other long-range widebody. The A340-200 is the ideal aircraft for low-risk development of challenging new markets, profitably operating new direct non-stop services where other airliners cannot, and with a range of 8000nm, it can fly further than any commercial airliner in service today.
