Scuba Diving in Cesme
                    Çesme's harbour is located on the Western most tip of Turkey looking out towards the Greek Island of Chios and is dominated by the 12th Century Genoese castle, which was enlarged and restored by the Ottomans in the 16th Century.

                     The name Çesme meaning ' fountain' was given to the area because of the numerous underground water sources found in the 18th and 19th Centuries. There are also many thermal pools to be found localy which are professed to have therapeutic and healing qualities.

                      Shopping in Turkey is an experience not to be missed and bartering is a way of life. Shops are open until late and wonderful party atmosphere prevails in Çesme's main shopping street!

                      Turkish cusine is rated third in the world and Çesme is blessed with a large variety of excellent restaurants. Why not sample the local kebabs, freshly caught fish and the various traditional vegetable. For holidaymakers looking for relaxing time, Çesme is altogether a delighfullypeaceful and traditional Turkish town, but for the more adventurous it is also within easy reach of many spectacular historical sites!
