Around The UK Coast
The UK coast offers some superb diving both from boats or from the shore. Generally speaking it's the West side of the UK which gets the best underwater visibility although the Farne Islands in the North West of England and St Abbs just across the border into Scotland are renowned for their superb diving. Also diving in Cornwall and the Manacles have huge carpets of jewel anemones which cover everything.
Also the morbidly named Dead Men's Fingers which are members of the coral family spread out over any bare outcrops of reef.
A Jelly fish is caught on a bed of jewel anemones, I'm not sure who was eating who though I suspect it was tea time for the anemones. |
