The Haitians Children's Fund is a child-sponsorship program. For $25.00 a month, a Haitian child receives help for food, clothing, and education. School tuition, books, and supplies can be purchased, and medical needs are met. More importantly, the child is given hope.
It is a pleasure to be able to say that 100% of all funds go directly to the sponsored child! If a sponsor wants to give more than the $25.00 a month, the extra funds go towards helping the child and his/her family improve their minimal standard of living-like having food to eat that day!
During my mission trips to Haiti, I was honored to meet my sposored child, Lesy Antoine, and his mother, sister, and two brothers. It was a very humbling experience. Their home, which is shared with another family, was about the size as my living room. Lesy's mother still cried a happy cry and thanked my wife and me for giving her son a chance. We can never do enough to make a difference for just one person. I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to help his children, and ask His forgiveness for not doing enough, as well. My life will never be the same. Thank you, Jesus! (corny but true)
