You have discovered the League of Mysteries
Note: Many of the facts have been recieved from Guides and GMs, but we have chosen to keep them anonymous on our own part for their safety.
Case #001
The Great Sea Dragon
Fact: There was at one time, a giant level 53+ shark named Megalodon in Lake Rathetear, he had troubles pathing because of his size, he kept popping out of the water.
Speculation: He was not entirely removed from the game, many have rumored that he was just moved to the Ocean of Tears where he could fit. He may also return in the expansion.
Case #002
The Clockwork Dragon
Legend: Once in ancient times, right after the gnomes had built their great city now known as Ak'Anon, there was a dragon who tortured the gnomes, setting the Steamfront Mts. on fire. Until one day, a good dragon came, and killed the evil one, whose skeletal remains still remain in Steamfront Mts. However, the good dragon was so hurt from the fight, he was near death. So the gnomes rebuilt him as a Clockwork Dragon, where he protected the gnomes, until many of the clockworks went rogue. He went rogue as well. As a rogue, he was a very dangerous enemy, and since King Ak'Anon didn't want to see him destroyed, he locked him up under the city, until a cure could be found.
Fact: There is a star in Ak'Anon that doesn't spin near guide I, when clicked on, the star turns, and a door sound is heard, when clicked again, it makes a closing sound. According to a guide, it isn't a bug. It is purposely there. Why, no one knows.
Speculation: It is a strong belief that the star is the key to finding the entrance to the dragon's lair. Recently, in a search throughout Ak'Anon on the Tribunal Server, no entrance was found. :(
Case #003
Lord Mayong Mistmoore
Fact: During Beta and into release, Lord Mayong Mistmoore did exist. He dropped the Fanged Skull Stiletto (Still lootable, but only in GM events), He was level 53+, and the only non stationary level 53+, he had to be taken out because he used to randomly go on killing sprees wiping out everyone in the zone when someone pulled him. GM quote "...let's just say we haven't yet seen
the last of Lord Mayong Mistmoore", also according to the GM, he can be spawned when triggered by the GM.
Speculation: He is now in a hidden part of Castle Mistmoore, although no leads as of yet. There are also "claims" that he does still spawn, he is camped often, and he only spawns for 15 minutes before suiciding. No proof.
Case #004
Miragul's Lair
Legend: In the EQ World history in the manual and Player's guide, there is the tale of Miragul, an Erudite and the only man to master all 4 crafts of Wizardry, Magic, Enchantment and Necromancy. His knowledge made him go a little on the wacko side and he ran off to the Northlands, where he dug out his caverns so he could research. He also achieved Liche form, but I don't
want to ruin the story.
Fact: There are caves in Everfrost Peaks, within them are an Erudite caster of some sort (Wizard or Magician) and some ice boned skellies among other things. Also (I can't prove this for myself, yet) there is a pre-zone line, in otherwords, a spot that you walk into that jumps you back 5 or so feet, which usually means one day a zone will be there.
Speculation: Miragul can be found in Permafrost (Not proven), Miragul will be in the expansion, Miragul is in the game, has yet to be found.
Case #005
MCircles
Fact: All across Norrath are what have become to be known as "MCircle"s, to name a few places, Ak'Anon in the palace and the library, Oasis of Marr on spectre island in the tower, and Neriak on the floor in 3rd Gate, and in Foregin Quarter in an Troll room.
Speculation: These are ways of teleporting, Oath, the guildmaster of The Royal Norrathian Guard believes these are for Necromancers, I do not (I doubt it would be in the library if it was for Necromancers, seeing as a necromancer would be KoS there.) However, I myself believe it to be a way for
teleporting to another plane or dimension, but for a new class, not yet released, maybe in the expansion. (We could use a Sorcerer class) And others believe it to be mere eye candy.
Case #006
The Abandoned Church of Neriak: Commons
Fact: Within Neriak: Commons is an un-used church of some sort.
Speculation: None
Case #007
The Locked Firepots of Neriak
Fact: Within Neriak is at least one locked Firepot, where you click on it says it is locked and you're not holding the key. Guide quote "...the [firepot] in Neriak does something, but they haven't told me what."
Speculation: Rumor going around is, that someone using their lockpick unlocked it and was teleported to the Plane of Air/Sky where the GMs and Guides promptly greeted him and booted him outta there. No proof on this.
Case #008
The Fiery Avenger
Fact: The Fiery Avenger was achieved during Beta test. Brad then changed the quest to make it harder, he recently re-wrote it to make it more accessible, it will be out at the end of January.
Speculation: Many hoaxes are out there, do not believe them, but most likely you will need a Soulfire to get the FA.
Case #009
Secret Area of Blackburrow
Fact: N/A
Speculation: Several, many say there is a secret area where the King of Blackburrow resides. One person said the King of Blackburrow was in a GM event, and he was a gnoll the size of a hill giant, and when he escaped he said broadcasted was "you hear the sound of a boulder rolling into place over a cave" Blackburrow has been mapped out often, and nothing has yet to be
found, but you never know.
