David Boreanaz

Biography - from the Official David Boreanaz Website

David Boreanaz has catapulted to stardom with his quiet intensity as the mysterious tortured title character in the new WB series "Angel". A spin off show of the hit show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel" has become one of the most popular, as well as critically acclaimed series of the new season. "Angel" airs at 9:00PM on the WB network.

Born in Buffalo, the youngest of three children (he has two older sisters), and raised in Philadelphia, Boreanaz grew up in an entertainment family - his father is a veteran weather forecaster. At the impressionable age of seven years old, David witnessed the inspiring performance of Yul Bryner in "The King and I" and immediately knew that acting was his passion. After graduating from Ithaca College, David immediately moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream.

While studying acting, Boreanaz suffered through a string of starving actor jobs: parking cars, painting houses, and handing out towels at a sports club prior to his breakthrough role as "Angel".

On stage Boreanaz performed in the Ensemble Theatre productions of "Hat Full of Rain", "Italian-American Reconciliation", "Fool For Love", and "Cowboy Mouth". His other credits include Touchstone Pictures' ski-bum comedy "Aspen Extreme", the feature film "Best of the Best 2", as well as a guest spot on "Married...With Children" as Kelly Bundy's (Christina Applegate) biker boyfriend.

Boreanaz currently resides in Los Angeles.
