Striving for Happiness in a chaotic world |
What is time?
What does time mean and why do we have to struggle against it and swim across its river?
Why are we so reluctant to take time for ourselves?
What’s a good balance between time for self and time for others?
For you, when does time move fast or slow.
Would you like it learn how to control its speed?

The first two barriers to cross are the river of time (tund) and the river of doubt (Ifling). With purpose and self-direction it is possible not to be swept away by the currents that pull against the journey. As we indulge ourselves in this anthology we need to remember that Norse culture creates the words and images. A river is not that large of a barrier to seafaring culture and yet it takes some effort and forethought to cross over. The seasons change the rivers and increase and decrease the danger just as the different phases in our lives do to ourselves. If our thoughts are turbulent and our anger creating waves is not that the rivers then cannot be crossed but the obstacles are more difficult to overcome.
