Band History
The Scott Barnes Band was formed in June of 2000.  Scott, Ben, and Jeff had thought about the idea, but hadn't been very serious about it.  Finally, they decided that they were going to start a band.  It was Scott Barnes on acoustic guitar and vocals, Ben Kastner on banjo, and Jeff Ambrose on drums.  The three knew that this wasn't enough for a band.  So they added sazophonist Steve Koich to the band.

In the summer of 2000, Scott played some solo shows, introducing the band's music to small audiences.  In early 2001, Scott Barnes started playing more regularly and for larger audiences.  At a show in Haslett, he met bassist/guitarist Nick Kidd.  The two jammed and Scott invited Nick to join the band.  He gladly accepted the invitation. 

This summer, Scott and Nick will be going on a small Summer Tour in towns close to home.  They hope to have Ben or Jeff drop in for a song or two.
