If you don't know what I'm talking about, maybe you should go to your local library and check out a book called Midnighters by Scott Westerfeld, because until you read it, everything here will make no sense. But anyway, this is my lovely shrine to the best books I have ever read. The Midnighter's trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. The first two books, The Secret Hour and Touching Darkness are the only two released, but fans are eagerly waiting for the third one, Blue Noon.

Wow, I'm really sorry about not updating. I got really busy with forensics, and then my computer crashed on me. I had to load all of these web files on an external harddrive, but don't worry, everything's safe. It's just taking me a while to get everything organized. Thank you so much for everything you've sent me, I'm sorry it's not up yet! I'm working at it. But for now, I'm going to have to ask you to HOLD ANY FURTHER SUBMISSIONS for any part of the site until after June 10. I need to get through this year, but during the summer I'll have plenty of time for updates, and I'll be taking all new submissions for every section again. Thanks so much for your patience with me! Oh! And how did everyone like Blue Noon? Share your opinions! Join the Midnighter's Forum, it's getting to be very active! Oh yes, and everyone should go and pick up their copy of Specials, the final book in Scott's Uglies trilogy! The cover is amazing! Whoa, it feels like it's been forever! Sorry about that! This year, I've found I have very little free time. But now that I have a few moments to spare, I can take the time to put up some new fan creations I've just recieved! We have new wallpapers, some avatars and a book report for you all to enjoy! I'm so excited! Today it's official. This fansite has been on the web for exactly one year! And of course, since it's our birthday, we're getting presents. Your first present starts today. *SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT*

Big renovations are coming soon. Not only am I going to put up the long promised Touching Darkness quotes, but it'll be the begining of The Secret Hour, version II!!!!!!!! I'm really excited to finally get a new layout here. This one's okay, but I mean, it's only V.1. Hullo, we can do better. Also, a whole new section is coming to TSH on request. It's going to be called 'Fans' and it'll be a place for all of your original Midnighters creations, such as fanfiction, fanart, wallpapers, avatars, etc. You can begin to send in your creations now to the e-mail at the bottom of the page. Please send all fanfiction in an attactment file, unless it's less than one chapter, also known as a One-Shot fanfic to those like me who are technical about that stuff. If it's a one-shot, just type it out in regular e-mail format. But other than that, send me the fanfiction in an acrobat reader format, or something similar.

Oh, and on some normal news, Melissa's Playlist and Melissa's Fansite have been updated. The fansite sections have been looking a little empty, so don't forget to add your name to your favorite character's fanlisting. Anyway, check back a lot in September, be ready for changes! It will be changed for good. (Sorry I couldn't resist. It's a Wicked thing. *rolls eyes*)

Hi, I'm sorry it's been forever since I've updated, or at least it feels like it. I know I promised Touching Darkness quotes, I'm really sorry but I've been quite busy. Actually, some of it does have to do with Scott Westerfeld, so I'll tell you about that. I was recently, (well, not too recently) in Chicago for ALA, and was on the BBYA Teen Panel. Goodness, how to describe that. Uh.... well, BBYA is the award for Best Book for Young Adults. The teen panel is well, a panel of teens that talk about the books nominated, while librarians, editors and publishers listen and weep over how brutally honest everyone is. Trust me, everyone is. Anyway, Uglies and Peeps are nominated, both fabulous books by our own Scott Westerfeld. Actually, I don't think Peeps is out yet, is it? Well, when it is, make sure to pick it up! I mean it, it's amazing! Thank god for Advanced Reader's Copies. Also, my distractions from updating have been unlimited. My dad's paying me to assemble the new eMacs in all of the elementary schools around here. A tedious task. And Harry Potter and the HBP is coming out, so that will certainly add a distraction for at least two more days. And I left for Canada the day after I returned from Chicago, so I've just recently returned. And, I just saw the musical Wicked, so of course I just had to read the book (which I recommend to everyone, except if you tend to dislike depressing books. This book, to me, made me horribly depressed. But still, so beautiful. A great read). So now I'm just oh so excited to see Idina Menzel (who was in the original Wicked cast) in the movie Rent. And all this has really been very distracting. Look at me now! I'm on my Midnighters FANSITE and I'm not even writing about Midnighters. Well, damn me, I'd better just shut up and get to the point. I updated Casting Call at least. There. I got it out. Well, good day to you all. Well, goodnight for me, actually. It's nearly midnight..... *gasp* MIDNIGHT! Anyway, goodnight all.

Oops. Tis a bad day to update my site. It's 6/6, which means 12, because 6x6=12. Ah well. I figured I'd just let everyone know that I've posted some new stuff in the media section. I've posted my first avatars! Five, one for each Midnighter, of course. Anyway, I hope you like them. And I'm almost done with school, so quotes from Touching Darkness will be up soon.

Yay for Scott Westerfeld's new site!!!!! Very pretty layout with all the book covers along the side. Oh, and if you haven't read Uglies, I highly recommend it. I finally finished it (I didn't have much time because I was and still am being brutally forced against my will to read Tom Sawyer. I love Mark Twain's writing style, but he needs a more interesting topic. It's beginning to get tré boring and tedious. But anyway, go pick it up at Barnes and Noble or at the library when you get the chance, it's FABULOUS! And the most exciting news ever!!!!! If you haven't checked Scott Westerfeld's blog, you probably haven't seen THIS:

Yes, that is what you think it is. The cover of MIDNIGHTERS 3: BLUE NOON!!!!! I really really love the purple. And as Scott mentions in his blog, it's really cool to see Jessica so close up. And I love the backround image. It looks so much like it does out in the Bixby area.

Oh, and I'm seriously freaking out that I have a link on his site! I hope this will bring in more traffic and more imput on what I should have on the site.

Well, here's the new layout! I'm actually working on it right now. I suppose the release of Touching Darkness and my trip to the actual Bixby, Oklahoma inspired me a bit. Oh, I didn't mention I went to Bixby? Yeah, I did. I visited during my spring break, but you can read all about that in my blog. Also...... Isn't Touching Darkness FABULOUS!!!!!!!! If you haven't read it yet, go get it now, it seriously blows any other book right off the shelf! The suspense for the next one is killing me!!!! I wonder when advanced readers copies will be out, I think I'm dying! Yes, I am a drama queen, thanks for noticing.

Looks like I finally found some time to add some stuff to the media section! We have four new signatures, and avatars are coming soon! Also, to celebrate the release of Touching Darkness, we'll soon be coming out with a whole new site layout!!!!! Yay for a new layout! I'm hoping to get more publicity when the next book comes out, because I know it will be a big hit. And after all, this is the first and only Midnighters fansite on the web, so if you keep supporting the site, I can promise you it will grow like you would never believe, so just bare with me while I experiment and try to come up with new ideas to make this a higher quality site.
