Leonard died June 2, 1989 in Allamakee Co. IA, at 90 years of age. Mabel J. Swenson died on February 8, 1998 at age 97. They are buried in the Postville, IA cemetery.

He was born in Ludlow Twp., Allamakee Co., Iowa on September 29, 1899. He received his education in the Cherry Valley school, near Postville, IA; graduated from Postville High School and attended a business college in Cedar Rapids.

He married Florence Ann Lindroth in Luana, IA on March 8, 1922 at the home of her parents. Florence was born in Garnavillo, IA on May 13, 1902. She was the daughter of Frank and Lucy Pahlas Lindroth. Hall and Florence farmed northeast of Postville in Franklin Twp until 1966 when they moved into Waukon, Allamakee Co. IA. Hall was a memberof the Forest Mills United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau.

Hall died March 30, 1987 in Good Samaritan Center, Waukon, at 87 years of age. Florence died September 23, 1984 in Waukon, at 82 years of age. They are buried in the Minert cemetery.

She was born in Franklin Twp., Allamakee Co. IA on December 14, 1901.

As an adult she lived in Cedar Rapids, IA where she worked for Dr. C.F. Houser for years. She paid 75 cents in dues for membership to the WIBC. Her War Ration Book #196419 still has 3 coupons remaining and she paid $35 in rent for her apartment on July 12, 1943; for July 15-August 15, 1943. She received a receipt signed by Dessa J. Kidd.

News item 1941: Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Swenson and daughter, Doris, and Mr. and Mrs. elrie Ruckdaschel drove to Dickeyville, Wis., Sunday to visit the grotto and also stopped at Eagle Point Park in Dubuque enroute.

She never married.

Doris died July 26, 1950 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at 48 years of age. She is buried in Post twp. Allamakee Co, IA, Minert cemetery.

He was born on the family farm in Cherry Valley, near Postville, Allamakee Co. Iowa area on November 17, 1903.

He married Melba Crawford in Allamakee Co. IA on June 21, 1930. Roland was an insurance agent, joining the Kemper Insurance organization in 1926. They lived in Park Ridge, IL, but owned a farm adjoining his parents farm in IA and visited there frequently. They retired in Venice, FL.

Roland died December 5, 1991 in Venice, Florida, at 88 years of age. His ashes were spread over his farm in Cherry Valley.

Roland Evan Swenson and Melba Crawford had 1 child:

He was born in Allamakee Co. IA on October 24,1910. He contracted polio at age 10 and was in a coma for a long time, and his family didn't think he would live. He made up for childhood illness with exciting exploits as a young man. He graduated from Postville High School in 1927. George wrote a narrative of an experience he and a friend had in the early 1930's. George and Joe decided to paddle a canoe down the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico. The trip started on the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids, IA and continued through mishap after mishap.

He married Genevieve 'Gen' Catherine Park in IA on August 19, 1935. Genevieve was born in 1909. They lived in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co. IA for over 50 years. He owned and operated Swenson Skelly Service Station for many years, then worked for Skelly Oil Co. Headquarters in Cedar Rapids before retiring in 1973.

Genevieve died in 1973 in Cedar Rapids at 64 years of age. George died June 6,1981 in Cedar Rapids, IA, at 70 years of age. They are buried in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA.
