Blind Date (little bat's poem)
|
I was born with two lazy eyes So I can't see very well But ev'rything talks back to me and tells me where not to go I love to fish But when I'm done catching           all those bait-bugs I'm so tired I always end up           eating the bugs           rather than go fishing I live with my mom and she's great But she's always afraid to let me go out It's her own fault actually I'm in fact an excellent driver But she always makes me take a nap after dinner And all that blood going to my brain           kinda makes me drowsy That's why I drive so awkwardly Besides all this I'm the perfect kid I don't curse, don't talk back I'm always on time for dinner And home before dawn Sylvester D'98 |
