The Disciple of Loa Tsai, Master of the Open Palm
Lao Tsai is a peaceful Monk who believes that true strength in combat does not come from aggression but from defense. In his eyes, a good defense is the best offense. Shortly put, he focuses on avoiding his opponents attacks and whenever the opponent makes an error, he counters with well-aimed strikes.

Class Features:
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: no new proficiencies.

Counter Blow: Select one opponent when fighting defensively. If this opponent attacks you and misses make a Reflex Save DC: 20. If succesful, you can immediately make an attack of opportunity against this opponent. (mind that you still suffer a penalty for using expertise or fighting at half defense)

Improved Trip: You get this feat for free, even if you do not meet the requirements.

Counter Throw: As counter blow, but now you can use your attack of opportunity to engage in a bull rush. However, you don't need to enter your opponents square to initiate the bull rush (just grab and throw). Likewise, you cannot move with the opponent to throw him further away than 5 foot. If you fail to beat the opponent's Strength check, nothing happens but your attack of opportunity is still spent for this round.

Because the disciple of Lao Tsai doesn't move into the defender's space, he doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity.

Improved Expertise: As expertise except that you are no longer limited. (Normally, expertise has a maximum of 5)

Counter Combo: THis ability works the same as counter blow. But now, the Disciple of Lao Tsai can counter with two rapid blows. You can attack twice at a -2 penalty to both attacks (this penalty stacks with, does not override, the penalty already incurred from fighting defensively) Or, you can combine a counter blow with a counter throw. You still need only one Reflex Save DC:20 to perform this move and it only uses one attack of opportunity.
