A wise oracle foresaw the oncoming disaster and warned the queen of the impending doom. Huge armies were raised, women and children were brought to safety, long unused fortresses were prepared for battle and cities where fortified to withstand the unavoidable sieges… Evil came as a black tidal wave of murder and madness. Man fought man, man fought monster, screams of terror were lost in bestial cries of carnal pleasure, more and more people died, death walked the earth. But not all was lost, a weak light shone in the dark, nevertheless, a light it was, something to cling on to: a prophecy. After a dark reign of a thousand years, the last heir of the queen would pick up arms and defeat the tainted blood of the family… When the time had come, the young heir went on an epic quest to find the aid of the lost Earth Goddess. When he did, the Earth Goddess tried to help him in his oncoming battle with the evil sorceress queen. In order to stem the power of the dark queen, she cut off her world from all magic… The ensuing battle was long and hard but finally, at the end of the day, the battle was over. The young boy, the heir to the throne, the one who was prophesized to kill all evil, was … dead. The evil sorceress had had a thousand years to prepare herself. When she was cut off from her power, she activated a cataclysmic device that tapped straight into the power of the Earth Goddess herself. The boy fought hard but, the harder the battle, the more power the sorceress drained from the Goddess and the more the Goddess convulsed in agonizing pain. While the boy lay dying on the ground, so did the Goddess. With the death of the boy and the Goddess, also died the evil sorceress in an apocalyptic explosion. What was left behind was a barren desolate desert and… a few survivors. However, this world was not less hostile, the death throes of the Goddess or maybe the release of energy from the sorceress, or maybe both, had mutated some of the fauna and flora of the world. Will life survive? In addition to this you should also read the Great War. |
