The Purple Citadel

The main floor of the citadel. The main entrance area is covered in spider webs and hundreds of spiders crawl over the floor. The purple stain glass windows bathe the entire area in a eerie light that enhances the overall feeling of creepiness. A huge gaping hole in the ground leads to the catacombs underneath.

The balcony right above the entrance area supports a huge spider web that spans the entire opening, creating a unsettling ceiling from which several cocooned corpses hang. Underneath the staircase that leads further up into the tower is a huge web that houses the terrible spider that create this web. She is only one of the many spiders that live in the basement.

The basement area used to be catacombs that held over a hundred coffins from the prominent clergy that lived in the Purple Citadel. Currently it is inhabited by a dozen dangerous spiders. The brown square indicates the entrance to the catacombs that is situated behind the altar. The hole at the bottom is the hole in the ceiling that connects to the ground floor. There is also a secret door that leads through the well and eventually brings you to the little chapel in the back of the citadel. However this path is perilous because it leads you right past a hole in the ground from where the first spiders entered the citadel. Only the brave and foolish would dare enter this pit of poisonous eight legged freaks.
