Review: Persephone Lee's Sim Source. |
Persephone Lee's is a place that has some fun and unusual skins, and a few pretty nifty objects. The user friendly menu down the left side of the page make it easy to navigate. Although I visited every category, I'm only going to talk about the things that really caught my eye.
Marilyn Manson fans, here is a site to stop and visit for a moment. Under the music section, you will find a decent little skin, and some very MM objects, including flat screen TV's. Some instruments and a pretty techno looking couch are also in here. Great for those of you looking to expand your techno home.
Under Elementals, I fell in love with the Earth skins. The female skin looks like the wife of the jolly green giant. TOO funny! The girl skin looks a bit like the little sprout. Very cute. I put them in the treehouse I built on one of my lots. Air is a bit hard to see the details on, but looks a lot like a cool breeze blew through. Fire has a nicely recolored chair, with a few added flames for emphasis on the back.
Things of old has some pretty historical dresses, just be sure to download the extra file from the page.
Great Romanov family skins in Romanov. Nice detailing on the Czar himself. "My world" has personal skins, very cute, again, be sure to download the extra file needed. Be sure to check out the Posters, ranging from a blue ocean scene to Pink Floyd's the Wall, and in the Other category, show some patriotism and check out the out-of-season 4th of July family.
My favorite section was "Of Dreams". GET THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE Walls, Floors, Fences, Doors....TOOOO funny! Hansel and Gretel are great although the witch is a tiny bit on the bland side. However, the walls of the Gingerbread house are great. Also, for those of you into literature, get the skin of Dorian Grey, and get "The Picture of Dorian Grey". I thought that was too funny.
All in all, Persephone Lee's Simsource would be like a gold heart locket with an amethyst inside. Fairly classic in design, but still greatly enjoyed, with a few clever surprises inside. Stop in and find your little treasure!
Keep in mind that these are the views of Julie. If you have any comments or questions feel free to e-mail her at anytime.
