Sim Goddesses, Part One
I will tell you all right off the bat, I may miss a few tidbits because this site has TONS of great Sim stuff! I will try to give you enough hints as to what you can expect to find here. A very easy to read home page, complete with a nice picture of the latest updates...check back since they do update this site....
If you select on Objects(Main), there will be an easy to follow directory of objects. But I prefer the room by room selections, as there are some AWESOME sets. So let's begin, shall we? Under Art and Decorative you will find everything from Beautiful tapestries to sweet flowers. A great item to download? The Sim Goddesses pictures at the top of the page. These are a blast! The description says that these give your Sims Charisma when they worship them...so far mine only have increased their fun, but it is crazy to watch them pray in front of the paintings. They do need to have a free floor tile in front of them, so no hanging them over a chair or anything like that. Also, more than one Sim can pray at a time, so their social goes up too! Although it is kind of goofy, I love the cork notice board too! Great for the Sim kitchen, to show that your Sims need to remind themselves of all kinds f things!(Brings me back to being a kid, seeing the stuff Mom had on the cork board). Cute doormats too, but these are cloned from a regular sized rug, so there must be three free tiles across to place the rug centered in front of the front door. At any rate, you'll be BOUND to find a print or two, or some new flowers, to add to your Sim collection.
Oh, a nice feature of this site.....the menu to browse through is always on the side of your screen. It is easy to navigate! Big help for someone like me who is sleepy by the time I get to the computer(I work to overnight shift). I love being able to find the stuff I want really quickly, and this site is VERY user friendly in that department.
The Bathroom section has bathroom SETS listed on the first page, you click on the picture of the one you like to go to the actual items, or you can just download the whole set. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Moonstruck Bathroom(matches some other sets), the Antique Bath, and the Terri-Burgundy Bathroom...You'll just have to go look and start your own downloading! The section is TOO nice to miss! In the bedroom, there are some fabulous finds....such as the Moonstruck Bedroom, which matches the Moonstruck Bathroom. VERY NICE! Also, there is a great Louis XV bed, which matches furniture you can find at Moni's Sims. Like the cheap bedroom furniture that Maxis provides? Go check out the Cheap Sleeper bedroom! At any rate, there are some great bedrooms you don't want to miss...Did I mention that the Moonstruck set is my favorite? Well, IT IS! The Kid's Bedrooms are nice, from Zebra print to a toddler room. The toddler room has lots of baby objects, for decorative purposes only.
Study and Den...hmmm...I can say my favorite here is the Sewing Room. I love to sew, and it is fun to have my Sims have a little studio for design, even if I am not able to design skins myself...It at least looks great! Also, the hats and models look great in the Downtown if you have a women's clothing store.....The Swedish line also looks very nice. It has a clean streamlined feel to it, and looks very modern.
Sims can cook up a lot of fun in these great Kitchens! From an old-fashioned design in the Allmoge Kitchen to a girly girl pale roses kitchen, this is the place to cook up some new eating areas for your Sims! The country kitchen looks like something out of a movie... Very nice! The Modern Line is great too, looks very retro/tech styled. Another great one is the French Vintage, it has some great looking cupboards! Also, there is a section of small kitchen objects, containing fun little items like his and hers mugs, and a beautiful set of cookware for display!
Looking to get a stylish new living room? Then this is the place! The Living Room section has PLENTY to choose from. If you love to have your houses match as much as possible, there is a great Pale Roses living room, as well as an Allmoge living room, so your Sims can go from dining to relaxing in matching luxurious style. The Living Natural room is a very restful soft blue, great for when your Sims come home from a hard day's work.....Under the Small Things listing you will find some great little end tables, two of which match Maxis dining tables. How's that for a coordinating house?
Some great lamps, including a wall and floor lamp to match the Maxis Femme De Lux lamp. Can you tell I'm into matching? Also into mixing and matching, but that's neither here nor there. Nice windows and stuff under the Build section... I love the Walnut set. It is a bunch of terrific windows and doors. I suggest you get it. Looks great on the castle styled houses, instead of all of that light wood.
Tired of your Sims having a boring yard? Look no further, head into Plants Flowers & Outside Objects! Some AWESOME patio sets, and I personally am in LOVE with Byline's White Garden set, which has everything from furniture to plants, all in white, as the name suggests. SOOOOO nice! My Sims all love the furniture when I put it in the house. The Victorian Roses are great, and the pool objects are cute! You'll find a few great touches for your yard here, I can promise you that!
Some great tutorials are easy to come by. Downloading help, walls, floors, skins, faces, objects...Well, if you have questions about how to's, this is a great place to start looking for answers! Older news will help you keep track of all of the amazing updates on this site... and there are TONS of updates! Beautiful banners to show their pride in some wonderful affiliates! Links to TONS of nice stuff for your Sims, again, all given nice large banners. I think that this shows how much these gals enjoy sharing the great stuff you can find in the Sim community.
Well Sim fans, I am going to call this Part One. Part Two will feature walls, floors, and skins. For this part, I'd give this a strong 5, for excellent variety and WONDERFUL objects! As a Julie's Jewel, this is the Jewelry box, full of so many things it could make your head spin! I'm so glad to have found this site. I suggest you bookmark it and check back often! I do...in fact, I'm downloading so much I'm watching my little hard drive get so full I may need to buy a new one VERY VERY SOON! Part Two of this review to come soon!So keep Simming and I'll Sim y'all later!
Keep in mind that these are the views of Julie. If you have any comments or questions feel free to e-mail her at anytime.
