Review: Natalia's Sim Shop Online. |
Scoping out sites to get goodies for my Sims is a great way to relax. So stopping in at Natalia's Sims Shop Online was great. I found TONS of new things to set up in my SIm house. For starters, the site is easy to navigate, and you can download entire room sets, or the individual objects. I usually get the whole room, unless there are only one item or two that I like. So I started shopping with the Aurora Kitchen, which is a soft pink, kind of like dawn. That is going straight into my Trollop house(A funny game played at the SimGoddesses forum....see the Trollops and Johns site about the game! Funny!). But there are so many sets I can't even describe them all, or you'd be reading for days, and I'm SURE you'd rather get shopping. I will tell you that there are lots of things to see. Like the Innocence living room , the Blue Moon Kitchen, Patio sets, a lovely Country Kitchen, Maple Kitchen, Malachite Bedroom , Color you World, Nursery parts 1 and 2, Apple Blossom Kitchen, Leopard Print, Ginger Bedroom, Magenta Bedroom, Late Roses Bedroom, Fantasia, Spring Flowers, Summer, Second-hand, Old Colonel's, Christmas, Halloween, Tulips Print, Floral Print, Rain Forest, Rosebuds, Cow Print, Rosemary, Dark Night, Kitchen and Purple Print Sets..... There is SOMETHING here for your Sims!
There are tons of great rugs, from Floral to kids print to Snoopy. Some have matching paintings, all of them look great! I love the ocean rugs which match a sea-themed bathroom or two that I've downloaded. Also, some flower shaped rugs that DON'T need Hot Date.
The Seating section isn't spectacular, but it is nice, with some great recolors of dining chairs and easy chairs, as well as some loveseats. Worth adding to any Sim seating.
There are some really neat bell-shaped lights in the lighting section, as well as some HP wall lights. The bell-shaped lights are cool, and come in several colors. VERY CUTE. A nice change from the standard shaped lights. I think I'll add some to my Trollops living room.....hmmmmmm...................
In the Build Mode section you will find lots of great recolors of doors, windows and columns. At this time, there are three very nice recolor sets on page two of the build mode that have the federal lattice door, the Monticello door, full and half windows, the casement window, the plate glass window, the round window, and the privacy window. WOW!
The Other section has only three items, two single tile dining tables...HP, and a nicely recolored bed.
On to the Skins section....It is divided into 4 categories, clothing, makeup, pajamas, and swimsuits, also divided by women, men, and kids.....Also, some special projects sections.....Let's go shopping....
Under women's clothing, I could list and describe the skins for days, but that would take out any element of surprise. There is a WIDE selection of clothing, from leather jackets and jeans to figure hugging minidresses. A HUGE wow to the formal section, with regular skins and Hot Date buyable formal skins....WOW WOW WOW. I LOVE THESE FORMALS! Pretty business suits, even if the skirts are a tiny bit short for corporate America and all....
There aren't a lot of skins in men's clothing, though the caveman styled skin is funny, I may put that one in my geeks and freaks neighborhood. Should be funny. But seriously, some nice shirts and pants, pretty typical fare.
The kids' clothing section is average. Some cute mini-skirted schoolgirls, some boys skins with HP adult clothes, otherwise fairly....average. Colors done well, and gives some variety to The Sims lacking wardrobe for children.
Makeup....who doesn't benefit from a little? There are some very pretty women's heads...some with great lip colors! Nice hair, too. Some of the Men have too long of hair for my taste in Sims, but the goatee men look Simply yummy. There are finally some redheads for your Sim kids! Hooray! Being married to a redhead and having a redheaded daughter makes me appreciate this more!
Pajama's are mostly Hot Date oriented. Women's PJ's range from the traditional top and bottom to silky chemises, and bikini panties with cropped tops to long whisper-soft looking nightgowns. Very pretty. Also some great teddies, and tie front tops. Some PJ files are also for The Sims, non-Hot Date, so if you want an all-day slumber party, you can download those. The men's PJ's are a little of everything....white undertanks and shorts, regular PJ top and bottoms, boxers, and even a mesh for skin tight boxer bottoms....WOW! GRRRRRRROWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.... Kids PJ's are all the standard style, but some great colors and funny prints.
Gearing up for Summer already? Then head over to the swimwear section! The women have everything from bikinis and tankinis to lovely tank suits. A really neat tank suit with cool front details... All are for both the Sims and HD. The men have some HD, more for just the Sims, the HD are the long and baggy shorts...GREAT prints! The kids are in their usual styles for the most part, the boys with some great new colors. The girls have a few tankinis, and some regular tanks, again in GREAT colors.
The walls are too many to list, but the categories are mix n' match(coordinating floors right below them), wooden border, tiles, exterior walls, holiday designs, and murals. You'll have to do the shopping there! The selling point of this category is that for those who are non-decorating savvy, you can use the mix and matching to get the perfect coordinated look in your Sim homes!
Flooring choices are pretty numerous too! From patterns, solid colors, tiles, hardwood floors, and stone floors, I am SURE you can find a few in there that meet your approval! They are nicely done, and I can't wait to get several into my Sims houses. I see a few that would look great in the house I did for my Sim Mom.
Feel like paying, don't want to do any building? There are some Fabulous homes to get for your Sims, in all price ranges. They have separate downloads for the house, wallpaper, columns, etc, etc......go check them out and see if ANY are good for you!
Lots of very colorful roofs, from tiles to bamboo. PLENTY of choices to help keep your Sim neighborhoods from looking cookie-cutter boring. I'm definitely getting a few of these. I don't really like the yellow...It looks too bright for me personally, like a circus tent or something.
Great links page too! She's got enough stuff to keep you busy for DAYS! I'd give this site a 5, for great objects and an impressive array of everything. As a Julie's Jewel, this would be a charm necklace, lots of room for ANY goodies you might want, be they gem-studded treasures or simple elegant treats....This site is a must-see!
