Review: The 13th Sim. |
Who says 13 is an unlucky number? I didn't after a visit to the 13th Sim. With some great recolored objects, fun skins, and more, this is a nice stop on your Sim web shopping!
The objects that I saw were mostly recolors, but some were pretty cute! One of my favorites was a Gothic chair in red, with studs all the way around it, kind of like old leather chairs from the 70's. Very cool. There were some Hot Date booths, and dressing booths, both of which are great for variety in your game!
Loving the wintertime? There are some nice snowy objects in Build mode. Be sure to go check them out to complete YOUR Sim Winter Wonderland.
The houses are well done. Each has a story line to go with them, but unfortunately, at the time I visited the site, only the houses under the Manors category had their links in working order. The South Central Plaza story is cute...worth a visit in my opinion.
Hate building new Downtowns, but tired of your own? Go see the Downtown lots, you'll have a totally redeveloped Downtown in no time!!
Stop in to the skins section. Want your Sim to look like one of the NPC's from Hot Date? Go check this out, the skins are here for you! ALso, there are some buyable skins for HD players. *I did have a hard time with the skins menus, I actually had to switch to a different menu to come back to the adult skins.
Themes...well, all I can say is GO LOOK! Necrophobia has a great set of a little of everything! EGM studios is, from my understanding, a little bit of a play on the people working the site. It too has plenty of goodies to download. Both have the houses as well, which is great for those of you who don't like to build, you just want to get in and mess with your little Sims' minds.
In all honesty, I'd rank this site a strong 3. I would like to see some more objects, preferably some sets, but hte skins are cute, the houses are nice, and the themes are funny. As a Julie's Jewel, I'd say this one is a class ring. Classic, but with its own personal style, and definitely an item to keep for a LONG time.
