Review: Cloth Menagerie.
Swinging by the Cloth Menagerie for today's review. This looks to be a skin only site, and so I will remind you all that I am not a skinner, so I don't always understand the ins and outs of skins.

Our webmistress shares a little bit about herself on the home page, it's always nice to know a little about our host or hostess. Seems she is a costume maker by trade. The graphics are simple and straight forward. The sections all seem to lead off the home page, I would suggest a Home button be added to the skins pages, just so it's easy to get back to the start point. No biggie, though.

I am looking through the Woman's Fashions area. The skins here are wonderful. Care has been taken to shadowing them and the detail is nice. I love this Halter Top & Long Skirt. The Striped Sweater and Skirt sets are also very nice. The One Shoulder Draped Dresses are lovely. I love the detail given to the drapes of fabric over the bust area. I like the descriptions that are added next to each skin, gives things a personal touch. I wish that the files were all included in one zip, but, when your dealing with this kind of quality, a little extra work on my part is not going to kill me. I have grabbed the One Shoulder Draped Dress and started up my game and this is great in game play! Looks like there is even a new "Mode" mesh, what a great find.

Ok, I'm skipping around a little. There is a wig section, and I want to go check this area out. I really like the Girl's Pigtails. There are lots to choose from, and I like to see variety (it is the spice of life, after all.) I'm not as keen on the "colored" hair, but, if you are looking for hair in all shades of the rainbow, you may want to check this out.

The Cloth Menagerie also has a Bordello area, for men and woman, so you can pick up the "after-hours" wardrobe if you are looking for those types of skins. I am noticing a little "HD" button around, meaning that owners of Hot Date can buy these outfits in downtown.

There are several Costume areas, remembering that our artist is a costumer, so this should be fun. The Rocky Horror area has some skins for your sims to play dress up with (even take the kids with you!). There is also a Fairies area. The winged skins, that I know a lot of people enjoy, are here. There look just like butterfly wings, there are several colors to choose from.

A Special Feature area has skins that were inspired by dollz (the ones being used on Forum Boards these days). These are all great! Again, the shadowing and detail on all of these are wonderful.

If you're looking to get into skinning, there is a tutorial here for you. I always like it when creator's share what they've learned with others.

Ok, I'll give The Cloth Menagerie a (4) and recommend that you stop by and grab some of these skins.
