Review: Hug and Kiss. |
For today's review I scanned our lists of sites and spotted a site called Hug and Kiss, so I've decided to go check it out, seeing as how Valentine's Day is almost here. Looks like we have a Bridal Shop, I just love weddings, and I remember a few years ago when I searched for my wedding dress, so this should be fun.
I always have to say when I review a skinning site that I don't skin, so my reviews of skinning sites are simply based on my untrained eye. I have to say first off that the site navigation is a little confusing. It could just be me though, I hate having to track through a lot of pages to get where I'm going. I decided to go check out Vintage first, and after three sub menus, I am here. I think I picked Romantic in one of those sub-menus, so that's where I am (just in case you're following along). I like this clothing style, I like dressing my sim ladies up and letting them think they are Ivana Trump. If you like having your ladies dressed to the nines, you may want to check this out. I like the detail work, but would like to see some more shading. The details are wonderful, I am looking at the Trois set now and really like the detail on the dress to the left. I wish I could just download the dress of my choice, but all the dresses come in a single zip. This could just be something that is easier for the webmaster, in which case I won't complain. I think we should always remember that these wonderful people are sharing with us, and whatever makes it easier for them should be fine with us.
I'm continuing on and looking in the different areas. Looks like everything you could want for your dream wedding is here. Or, like I said, a lot of formals can just be used on your Ivana B. Rich sim. I spot Honeymoon and can't wait to see the offerings, but the link isn't working. So, I decide to go back to the home page and guess what? Geocities has shut down the site for being over bandwidth! Well, I guess that's bad for me, but good to know that people are here enjoying the site.
I'll give this site a (3) based on what I was able to see, and if you're simmies are getting hitched, this site is a must see.
