Review: Wytch's Brew.
Today we are stopping by Wytch's Brew, a site I've heard of, but have never had time to check out until now. I'll start by talking about the design and layout. We have some very nice peach colors and a well done title graphic. I always like it when the graphics are well done, it gives me hope for great things on the site. Seems Wytch and Witchboy are doing their part in the community, supporting sites and featuring links right on their home page. I mention this because a lot of sites put their links off the main page, mine included, so I think it shows a lot of class to get those links out there for people.

The site is really easy to navigate, find where you want to go, and go. The only thing that bothers me is the way a new window opens when I go to a new page. I will get over it though. I'll start in the Walls and Floors area since that's the first link. These sets are all wonderful. We have some great colors, the Crème Lilies on Page 2 are my favorite. Also, if you're looking for exterior sets, there are some very nicely done Exterior Pine featured on Page 2 as well. Wytch's Brew has done some floors to match up with some of those odd Maxis walls. You simply must come here and grab these.

Next we have the Art Gallery with lots of items to download. I think I can safely say there's something for everyone here...and you'll giggle at Witchboy's Cheesy 70s Disaster Flicks Gallery. If you are in need of Airplane Movie posters, you've come to the right place.

I'm going to head to skins next and give everyone my standard reminder that I am not a skinner, so my reviews are based on my untrained eye. I really like the skins I'm seeing. The Mother - Daughter sets are always big, and this set is nicely done. I really like the cuts of the dresses that are featured. They are different, but nice. Looks like something I'd like to wear. On Page 2 is Liz Taylor in a white dress. The white is a little harsh, but I still like the skin, it has good detail work. The other skins are detailed and shaded nicely. These are very good skins, worth your time to download.

Houses are the next area, and these are keeping with the same high quality of the rest of the site. Looks like a lot of time and effort went into these.

Next I'm heading to Misc. where there is a mixed bag of things. It looks like some were done from photos and are not sitting at the correct angles. This bothers some people, but not all. I am one of the ones it bothers. I like for everything to sit the right way in the game. I do want to say that some of the things do sit at good angles, even for being done from pictures. That is hard to find, believe me. The Flower Window is a cute idea. I also like the flags on this page.

Heading to Sets next and loving just about everything here. There are lots of well done re-colors and great matching walls. I love matching sets. They will always be given high marks from me. Oh look, Crème Lilies set to match that wall and floor that I liked so much. The only thing on this page that bothers me is the Honeycomb set. The yellow is a bit on the bright side.

Lights and Sculptures are next, if you go back and read what I wrote about Mics. area, you can apply it here too. I really think that using photos at angles that are not right bring down the rest of the site. We come along seeing such wonderful things, then these things offset the quality and can turn people off.

Next I'm off to Misc. Furniture and we are back to the same great quality from before. The things on this page are MUST HAVES!!! Marlyn has done a terrific job of making chairs and loveseats to go with all the mis-matched Maxis furniture. The Honey Oak Table is also wonderful.

The Outside area has some great things that you have to check out. The Address Plate is a great idea, as is the brick wall clones from the countertop. Breakthrough! Also, "Go in the Bushes", a bush cloned from a potty. Very clever. I also like the Blue Wildflowers, looks like a rock seat for the garden. These items are very neat.

Last stop is Rugs, and as the page was loading up I saw some standard rugs. When the page finished, I scrolled down and found yet another clever item: Game rugs. You have to see this, it's such a great idea! I love to see sites come up with ideas like this, it makes things in game play so much more fun.

I'll wrap up my review now and give Wytch's Brew a (4.5). Great job!
