Review: Mail Order Sims. |
I can already say, with all honesty, I like this site. They have some really good objects, floors, walls, etc. and the only problem I have with the site is the navigation. I think it would be a lot easier for visitors to simply place all the categories together and beneath the item place who made it. I’ll have seen something on the site and forgotten about it – it will be on the special page – and I won’t happen to catch who made it…so unfortunately once it is removed from the special page I have to go through all of the catalog to find the one object. It is too time consuming. Otherwise, some really beautiful stuff here. I am going to call specific attention to the group efforts – for instance, the Cherry Bordeaux House. A complete house done room by room – download available once a week…it made me come back to the site daily. Everything was absolutely gorgeous and the best part is I hear they are doing more houses! I just love it when sites make realistic houses, with realistic furniture…and if they have matching rooms provided…GREAT! I will admit I don’t often stick to the matching rooms – I use the furniture in my other homes but it is nice to know that I have matching sets. I also adore their Country Blue Dining Room (although can I request another floor???), their Rain Forest Bathroom…just all their team efforts. Simply great. This site also offers the Christmas sets, the Halloween sets (the only decorations I ever download are the Halloween ones), and an Autumn set. Phatbasset has AMAZING walls and floor sets…I have practically downloaded them all. VERY WELL DONE! Kay’s Kollection has some VERY cute Maternity skins (ALTHOUGH NOT ENOUGH!!!), Baby Layettes (personal favorite – the Hearts Layette), a wonderful Christmas wardrobe for the entire family (and not in ICKY colors!), a GREAT art gallery full of Anne Geddes art (LOVE ANNE GEDDES!), some beautiful Southwestern walls (I am really into Southwestern design!), and some really nice starter homes that you don’t need the Rosebud cheat for. Kat’s Sim Shop has some great Living Room sets (personal favorite – the Crushed Velvet) and a VERY cute Southwestern Theme – living room and bathroom. Finally there is Design By Teri (ALL OF THESE LADIES ARE AMAZING BY THE WAY!)…she has amazing furniture sets (another personal favorite – the Colored Glass Cabinet), a lovely romance stone bathroom set, some cute items in EveryDay Living, Colorwheel Treatment Walls that are simply fantastic especially if you are a coordinating freak like me, and can I say – I LOVE the Chocolate Harvest Set (Interior Designs). This site also has a Help Desk – which is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Again, easy to get a hold of the designers if there is any problem. As I said earlier the ONLY problem I have with this site is their navigation system. It is too hard to remember one designer among the thousands there are on the World Wide Web so it would be simpler to have the categories together and place the artist’s name beneath each piece of work they have done. And when I mean put the categories together, I mean…place all the dining room furniture together, all the floors/wall sets together, etc. etc. Perhaps I am the only one who is annoyed by this…if so, ignore my advice. The site is great otherwise! (4)
