Review: S&M Builders. |
Bad points first…HEY – I am one who ALWAYS likes to get the bad news first…so that is how my reviews are going to be. First – their Housing section…they only have two houses (DARN IT!!!). I actually like the two homes they have to offer…very nice and realistic (something that is a rarity among house makers for the SIMS), they also include the links to where items they used in building their homes were downloaded from (VERY NICE…good advertising and no stealing!). They have labeled the rooms to each house very nicely…just a nice section. I only wish they had more homes (if you need a house maker – CONTACT ME!). Next – their Object section – well, it is under construction. And the background is BLINDINGLY bright (PLEASE WEBSITE MAKERS – REMEMBER – we ALL have to be able to look at your site without going blind!!!)…I guess I will just have to update this review when they get to their object section. Third, the Wall section – this is going to be tough. I am a very picky person when it comes to walls and floors. Just because it is a game does not give us a license to be gaudy. AHHH – again, a blindly BRIGHT background…PLEASE, MY EYES MY EYES! Okay – regaining site in my eyes…my opinion…very lovely walls, very few but very nice. Nice colors, nicely done (am downloading some as I write this), something a real person would have in their homes. I like it…MELLIE LIKEE! I might as well just add in the Floor section here – LOVELY floors. Very few, but GREAT! They even have rug like textured floors. Very nicely done. AND – they even match their walls. Oh – that is great! MELLIE really LIKEE! I really enjoy coming across a site that I expect little from (which is all sites) and coming out feeling like I have discovered a little "gem" – this is a little "gem." My advice to this site…tone down the brightly colored backgrounds, focus mainly on your floors, walls and houses, get rid of your plant, object and misc. sections and your site will be perfect. Focus on what you do best. I have to say the plants looked phony (although I will admit I downloaded one because it is my favorite flower), we have enough object sites out there and I have no idea what you plan on putting in the misc. section – so, don’t ruin a good thing. Just trash that area. Again…focus on the great walls, amazing floors and your realistic houses. This should get your site acknowledged as one of the better wall and floor sites out there…trust me. I have been to probably a thousand sites and yours has some of the best walls and floors out there…you just need more! PLEASE! (3)
