V/A - "British Invasion 1997" EP - Twist

Compilation of four bands from the UK which cover a pretty wide musical gamut. My faves are the fuzzed out girl-retro of the SIRES, that recalls a tougher and more musically competent Delmonas. Coming in a distant second is the Stooges-induced STEWED with some tried and true but still listenable slice of Detroit rawk. Rounding out the package are the Dylan-inspired pop of the NUTHINS and some melodramatic angst-pop from the REDBONES.
