1-31-00 (2:13 a.m.) The following is a low-budget entry, because I need to write my paper, but wanted to write a journal too. It's a letter to my friend Erin in Ohio, with whom I've shared many details of my life...mostly dealing with Kate ; ) It covers most of what I would say in a journal anyways Just to keep you updated on the general happenings of my life...As I may or may not have mentioned to you...Kate's been in a kind of bad mood lately. The fact that I can tell from here, is a bad sign. I have trouble guaging emotions when I'm in the same room, so online that's like major shit going down somewhere...and hopefully I'm not under it. I think it's just a lot of stress, and some of the social things not going her way. With the planning/prodding help of a couple friends (the only known readers of my journal) Nikki and Daniel.....I've decided to skip my optional classes tomorrow (adverse weather policy) and hop on a bus in the early afternoon. The Durham busses aren't running, due to the weather, but the raleigh to durham busses are, and it's only about a mile walk from their stop to S&M. Hopefully, she will feel loved, and less stressed, and not too mad at me for skipping my classes. We'll see how it works out. Just thought I'd keep you posted as the other (possible) reader of my journal. --Ryan
