This entry'll be kind of short...just kind of to mention a couple things I forgot to put in last night.

One is that I really enjoyed driving over the weekend. I feel a lot better about my ability to not kill people now. I need to learn to pay a little more attention to mirrors and parking and backing up. In other words, I can drive forwards, and not kill too many people ; ). I was a little scared backing up with Nikki back there guiding me, just 'cause I'm a strong believer in Murphy's laws. But we both survived, and I can sort of back up now ; ).

The second is an experience I had walking back through the snow last night. I was walking past the security office, and decided to just stop under its shelter, and watch the snow for a moment. I saw what I thought was a really neat little scene. There was a solitary street lamp, illuminating some trees, and the two tunnels that lead under the railroad tracks. That scene just struck me as really neet, the solitude of the street lamp, and the tunnels stretching beneath the snowy trees. From there, you couldn't tell where they were headed (although I knew, I tried to imagine what else could be at the end of tunnels like that). I thought for a moment that I might grab my camera, and take a picture. Then I realized 2 things. The first being that probably no one else would see it quite like I did, and the second being that photographs never capture things quite the way you remember them. Especially 'cause the snow doesn't fall in a photograph. But it was really neat, and I wish I could have shared it with everyone.

The last thing is just kind of random. Yesterday, Danny said he could "take kate" I realized at that moment, that it was almost a palindrome. And having kate's name in it, is kind of cool (in my opinion). My first try, wasn't very good. I tried: "hee take Kate eh?" which is nonesense, but a palindrome nonetheless. So, a few minutes ago, distracting myself from the homework I should be doing, I tried again and came up with something much better: "Flee. Take Kate, Elf." This makes 2 palindromes I've invented on my own. ; ) just thought I'd share.

Now back to the homework ; ( rudimentary programming as a part of my TA position
