How Did I End Up With a Name Like Smithra?

My parents wanted a girl. Actually, my real name just so happens to be Ryan Smith. Pretty boring.
Smithra is derived from an arbitrarily assigned e-mail address given
to me by my school. The name was cool enough, and pretty soon all
my friends were calling me Smithra. That's not to say that nobody calls
me Ryan anymore. I answer to both, and many people call me both.


I think my main claim to fame is a humor list I used to run, forwarding on net-jokes etc. to thems what was foolish enough to ask for it. It got to be too much work though, so I passed on the responsibility to Ben Lee. It still deserves a mention though. After all, I'm sure it's largely responsible for the name Smithra sticking.
