SoulSilk
The 60s and 70s R & B re-visited
This is a brief description of what we can do for the innovative member of the industry. Are you a publicist, a recording company's A & R department representative, a radio station DJ? Are you managing artists in need of new songs? Please ask us to forward our Demo CD for your review and let us know.
You may get hold of material that is not coming from the usual sources. Remember, we are located in Greece and we mostly make new soul music. We are deeply influenced by tradition but we are not copying it. We are definitely not mainstream but because the songs have enough hooks, they can be produced in virtually any musical style, stretching from country to electronica (although we would prefer to stick to the soul). Now that's a difference. Differences are making the product interesting, right? There is a global growing need for good music. Why not get some of it back again? See what others are doing: They are betting on the turn of the listeners to good old retro sounds again, only performed by younger artists. And they're betting well.
Important: You may only acquire the songs and any assistance from the Composer-Copyright Owner, to work them out and record them by your artist (s).

Floyd J. Badeaux The Musik Faktory/Great Recordings www.great-recordings.com Texas USA Dear Apostolos, Hello, and how are you? Thank you for your note. I am on the road right now. Florida right now, and Indonesia next week. I'll be on the road for several weeks. Yes, I did receive your CD and attached material. Thank you very much for affording me the opportunity to listen to it. It was a pleasure to listen to. Your musicians are good and your material is interesting. Unfortunately, it is not quite what we're in the market for right now, but it was good. I think you actually have a stronger chance of making an impact in Greece than here in the US, only because you would be competing against other similar acts that have specialized in this type of horn-oriented R&B for many, many years. That's a pretty hard market to crack. On the other hand, I would suspect that you would stand pretty tall on your home turf - in Greece, and also stand out as being fairly novel. I'm afraid I don't know the records companies there, but I would recommend that you contact some in Athens or elsewhere and see if they'll give you a listen. Best of luck to you and the guys. Best Wishes, Paul W. Sammarco, Ph.D. President P&J Records (LLC), Louisiana USA Was I so rude that I didn't write you back? I thought I did! Well, I very much enjoyed what I heard, but honestly, I got pretty frustrated with the dropouts and couldn't listen to the entire thing. I understand why you do that, but the presentation made me uncomfortable, as if you don't trust me or something.... I do like the music, though, very cool & funky. http://www.checkotherrecords.com Stefanie - Check Other Records, New Jersey USA Hi Apostolos, I just got your cd. It was misplaced at the postoffice here. I see that you sent it out in june. Anyways I just got through listening to it and I think it sounds real good. You have a nice variety of different grooves and your band sounds tight. It would be a pleasure to come over there to do some gigs with you and your band. I have to go to the studio now so I will talk with you soon. http://www.richkirch.com Rich Kirch John Lee Hooker's guitarist California USA http://www.johnleehooker.com hi apostolos yes i received it and could hear it, it s cool stuff but i don t know with who in germany you could place it cause this kind of usic is not really big here in sales. it s more old school. the work on it is cool. keep me updated on your work http://www.boominsystem.de Leo Chantzaras - Booming System Music Germany
