| ALRIGHT SO ITS FINALLY COLD. I know antone likes it cold. I don't. Our show last friday was a warm and cozy shindig at the walters ice house. Kudos to those who came out and chilled with us. But if you're looking to get hot, sweaty, and you cant stand another ride home without swamp ass, there's an event calling your name. loudly, and probably in a low, piglike grunting voice. Its saying DECEMBER 5TH, fitzgeralds, GO. Thats right, not only are we playing with those bad boys in the award winning band ATM, but you know that crazy old band Collpasing Horse. Yeah, well, the horse got up. And it rocks now. Remember that psycho awesome guitarist that has filled in for us twice. Its his band. He will put on a show by himself, and i'm sure the band can't hurt. Its South 59 and the bands of those guys who have played on stage with South 59. So come sweat it out for one more time in 2003. | Hey we, South 59, are playing a show for charity this sunday. All proceeds go to the River Foundation, an organization for kids with disabilities. Please help us and them out at 4 o clock this Sunday at the Westbury Square Direx from West U. CHECK US OUT in this Thursdays article in the Houston Chronicle in the ThisWeek section. Oh for anyone who gets the West U Examiner, keep your eyes on open for that. But please come on Sunday to this charitable event. If not for us do it for the kids. | Hey, its Johny, just checkin in for the summer. we've had some amazing shows, and I am back and in full swing. Our CD has gone triple "wangsta" (over 200 sold) and is still selling. Anyway, LT has hit the road for the summer, so the band is calling it a break, but when we resume, we promise to have new songs to play live for you! | Hey more great news!! Our debut EP Lessons Learned, Bridges Burned is now for sale at Cactus Music and Record Rack - both located at the corners of Shepherd and Alabama. So please go buy the CD for $8.00 at both places and support us. If we sell enough CD's at Cactus Music, we get to have a live in store performance, so buy one there! However, if you want to listen to the CD before you buy it, head over to Record Rack and listen to the entire album on their Listening board before your purchase it. | Hey the new South 59 Store is up and running for you fans out there. The store will have a lot more stuff in it soon but already out is the new CD, Lessons Learned, Bridges Burned. The CD is for sale for $8.00 and this along with the rest of the merchandise will be sold through Pay Pal which is very simple and easy to use. To create an account with Pay Pal takes about 1 minute and is very secure! (see privacy policy) Stickers, shirts and everything else will be on the way soon. If you haven't bought the CD yet, don't delay. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback from friends and other listeners so we decided to put up a store in a hurry because a lot of people were anxious to get the new album. | Hey thanks to everyone who came out to our show with cruiserweight!! it went really well and we had a great time. Man it is fun to get out there and play a good show when we haven't played for 3 months because of recording. We thank you all for remembering that we are still here and rockin' - and speaking of - buy the new CD!! It is defiantly worth the money. We are selling them for $8, except at shows where we will sell them for $5. For now, our next show is on May 30 at Fitzgerald's and hopefully that will be huge. come celebrate the ending of school with us. Until then we are working on getting another show before that time.. somehow somewhere. So keep checking for updates and buy the new CD lessons learned bridges burned. Peace So.59 |

the
CD is done! Our debut EP is titled lessons learned, bridges burned
and comes out next week. It will defiantly be on sale for $5 at the Cruiserweight
show. It contains the following tracks : 1. Last Call 2. Surprise 3. Nothing is Everything 4. Toaster Strudel 5. Blue Balls Believe me the CD is well worth the wait. A lot time was spent to make these songs rock. Currently you can download two tracks off the album on mp3.com but I wouldn't be satisfied with those two. Buy the CD and crank that mother up! PS ...listen a little past the end of the 'Blue Balls' there's more than just one surprise on this CD (killer joke) alright well if you cant make the show we are selling the CD's for 8 bucks and they should be available next Tuesday April 28th. | Wow, spring is upon us and things are getting pretty busy. Thank you all to everyone who went to our last show on February 7th. We are terribly sorry about all the equipment failure, we did the best to put on a good show with the crappy incidents that occurred, but unfortunately it was not our finest moment. Thanks again for anyone who drove out to Cardi's for that 7 songs of madness, and we assure you that next time we will make sure our s*** works! ANYWAYYY we set up a show on March 15 with ATM, but we've decided to CANCEL it because of spring break conflicts and because we want to stay concentrated on the new album/EP. Speaking of, we are planning to be finished with it by spring break, and hopefully by the end of spring break it will be ready....we are extremely excited and you should be too because the songs and the production sound amazing. we are unsure of what it will be called, but for now, any donations or loans to producing the CD would be Greatly appreciated. So defiantly expect the EP by April, and go see ATM and New Gold Standard on March 15 because they are great bands and great friends! Peace |
