The_Guild	Everything is black. You float in various places of indeterminate distance from each other, windows of various design floating around each of you. Through each window you see the world you are currently 'exploring.'
Do-N is searching for sexual depravity within the rich & famous of the 3 races.
Alice	~ Do-N, while you are hunting around, play with the windows and see what we can do with them. Things like tracking people, etc.~
Do-N	~Sure thing.~
Lopez is analyzing the Military Strengths and weaknesses of the 3 races and searching for any Bedenite or Velanium deposits
Alice 's windows are now focusing towards libraries.
The_Guild	Dwarven strength lies in their resilience and superior weaponry. Their army moves slowly, but is almost unstoppable in it's momentum. Their tactical movements take place over days, during which they do not rest, do not stop. Elves are mastering hit and run, obfuscation and confusion techniques, wearing away at the flanks of their enemy. They primarily wield bows, and are deadly with them, striking from hiding and fading away before their enemy has a chance to react.
Do-N experiments with stalking people, then with looking inside their bodies. She tries to make windows like Lopez's (non-visual spectrum) so she can see things like brain chemistry.
Alice	~Lopez, while you are looking at military strength, try and gauge their police forces. They are what we are more likely to run into. Things like magical/psi scanning, lie detection, etc.~
Lopez opens a third Window focusing on Police and National/Internal Security
Alice	~For future reference, we can almost certainly use the windows to read the contents of books. Slide the windows carefully through the book. Sadly I lack a sufficiently delicate touch.~
The_Guild	The humans are a mix of the two, and rely as well on their artificery to create powerful automated weapons, bombs and the like.
Lopez	~Alice can you also look at major tade cities...places where we wouldn't look too out of place when or if we go Grey.~
The_Guild	Policing seems extremely light, almost non-existent. The total population of each race seems very low, so it looks like the policing would be mainly through everybody already knowing everybody else.
Alice shifts her windows towards multiple cities.
Alice	~That is going to depend on the police forces.~
Lopez	~probably one with a mix of all three races...I'll delve a bit deeper into those cities~

Alice	~Heya Do-N, do you think you could get money here. Quietly.~
Alice rubs the back of her neck.
Lopez	~wouldn't it be better to bring common trade items like Gold, Diamonds and other precious but common metals?~

Alice starts looking for signs of Tourism.
Lopez	~that also depends on the size of the trade cities and wether or not we have a plausible back-story~
Alice	~Developing a truly thorough back story will likely take time.~
The_Guild	There is very little tourism. Though a few of the border cities host other-racial visitors, they are primarily segregated. There is a bazaar on one coast in the foothills though, that seems to act as a trading hub, temporary residences housing any of the three, with most mixing happening there.
Do-N	~Any idea how much backstory the Guild provides us with when we're inserted?~
Lopez	~Here's a good place~ *passes windows off to Do-N and Alice~
Alice	~Check with the Thinkers I guess.~
Alice starts looking over the city for potential problems.
Lopez	~As for backstory they're not that hard to create..we're from x place on the otherside of x kingdom, Province whichever and we're hear for Y reason~ ~Just have to fill in the variables based on our accumulated data~
Alice	~And what about the school system, major social trends, ettiquette, etc. A simple back story is easy but it also leaves a lot of room for us to slip up and say something very very wrong.~
Lopez	~perhaps...that's why we do our reasearch here. I'm not saying we should jump in. we're not ready yet~
Alice	~Btw folks, we currently enjoying the benefits of being in a fast time dimension. We can take our time here as Guild time is passing much slower.~

Do-N	~If I do most of the talking, then there isn't much reason to worry about that kind of thing.~
Lopez	~Acessing Thinker: what is the usual timeframe after inital Black Recon of the realm in question to a transition to Grey?~
Alice	~I have been meaning to ask, Do-N, can your mimicing effect be detected either by the target or someone scanning?~
The_Guild	~Average time from initial Black Recon to transition into Grey is three months, twelve days, nineteen hours, fifty four minutes.~
Lopez	~so we're given all the time we need to do all of our research and formulate identities, backstories etc.~

Do-N	[To Alice] ~I don't know how someone'd scan for that type of thing. 'nless the target is doin' that kind of scanning, they won't know.~

The_Guild	~Traveller Grey can be entered in two ways - as an outsider, or as an insider. As an outsider, you create your own Avatar to interact with the world. As an insider, you replace a being already in the dimension. In higher ruleset dimensions entering as an outsider is preferable, as you are less likely to create ripples of disbelief.~ ~Insider insertion should, in fact, be used sparingly.~
Lopez	~How does one retain their powers and abilities when entering...specifically myself..being mostly inorganic~
Alice	~Outside would probably be best for us as we haven't had enough time to emulate any particular person accurately.~

Alice	~Okay, so Natilla-Vv would be translated as a similar symbiote in their world then, correct?~

The_Guild	~In the case of your symbiote there is no equivalent symbiote, so base rulesets will be imported with you to preserve it.~

The_Guild	~It will be a localized phenomenon located about your symbiote. The ruleset will not be applied until telepathy is used. Beware however, for this will cause ripples within the local dimensional rulesets.~

The_Guild	~Go native. Importing rulesets is for whiny translatophobes. It's a verifiable statistic that Native Awarenesses tend to shun imported rulesets, whether they realize it or not.~
Alice	~So it looks like we are soliders on leave then. Good, they generally standout but are expected too. Social graces can be slightly off from being in the field. We will need a regiment to belong to and other basic info.~
