| Hello. My name is Lancelot. I am a Yellow-crowned Amazon. I am only one years old. This picture was taken around 3 months ago on my play gym. Mommy and Daddy keep me supplied with lots of toys, so I don't get bored. I can say many things. My Favorite words are: ~Hi I am Lancelot ~Hi Lancelot ~Come 'er ~Shut up ~Where you going? ~Hi There ~Hi Baby Momma is trying to teach me to sing. She gets frustrated because I screech right along to the music. (Personally, I think she is jealous because I can sing better than her!) At least I don't sound like I am getting plucked!! And many species have sub-species. ~ Amazons are the largest group of parrots and range from South america to Northern Mexico. ~ Many Amazon species have eyelashes. ~ Amazons are very intellegent birds. This is their downfall as many quickly outsmart their owners. ~ They have fantastic Memories and will remember incidents and training for months and even years. ~Amazons are also VERY stubborn. Once they have decided to do something, it will be very difficult to get them to stop. ~ Amazons are popular pets because of their beauty, outgoing, clownish personality, their intelligence and their ability to talk. |
