We put on The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson at The Rising Stars Theatre. This is the first time that I have gotten to work with children in a play. It was a great experience for me. I loved putting on this play more than any other. It was fun working with young kids. We had some good times together and I was more sad when this play was over than any other play. I never wanted the play to end, but "all good things must come to an end." Just before the opening day school performance, the actress that I had the most fun working with, Alix Delgado (who played Gladys,) told me that this was her first play and that she was nervous. I told her that if she is nervous, then she should just pretend that it is just another rehearsal and the only people that are in the audience are the directors and maybe a few parents. I told her to think that all that is going on is what is onstage. There is no audience... just the actors onstage. She did a great performance. She has agreat deal of potential, and I think that she is going to go a long way, if she just keeps at it. This was the most fun experience of any of the plays that I have been in. We had a great deal of fun experiences backstage, during rehearsals and the performance. This was the best time of my life! I hope to work with some of these actors and actresses again sometime. This truely was "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," and "I wouldn't mind being taken for a shepherd in this Christmas Pageant." |
