The Consumer Protection Act. 1986

Central Consumer Protection Council is formed under the consumer protection act. to strengthen the consumer against the mischief faced by them. Following prevention acts are described here under:

• Privilege of safety: - Against the marketing of harmful/ disastrous/ lethal goods.
• Privilege to know: - Privilege to know about quality, quantity, purity, and price of the goods, just to prevent consumers from unfair trade practices.
• Privilege to choose: - Every consumer has right to choose the goods after knowing about the purchase.
• Privilege of hearing: - Every consumer has granted permission to hear the consumer court, and the court will hear the consumer simultaneously.
• Privilege of "solution": - Due to wrong judgments/policies consumer can file the suit against the vender in consumer court just to protect him self.
