After a brief encounter at AR-255, Lieutenant Junior Grade Harold Manenchev suffered a complete loss of vision in his left eye during a hand to hand battle with the Jem'Hadar during the fianl months of the war. Unfortunately, the optic nerves wre too damaged to repair, and thus the eyeball itself had to be removed.

With the information used on Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge's optic implants, i fabricated a cybernetic eye for Mr. Manenchev to use, in order to gain full, if not better, sight than he previously had. After a fewdays of srygery and retesting of hand-eye coordination, I released Lieutenant Manenchev back onto active duty.
