Most teachers stress students about going to college, and to do that they want you to attend AP classes, Advanced Placement courses? But why, well because colleges like it. Colleges site the AP experience as one indicator for college exceptions. College (in reference to four year universities) wants to see that you strive for challenging academic courses. In other words, they expect you too do a lot of work, in subjects like history, science, and English. Colleges are becoming a lot more difficult to get in too. So participation in an AP program is a great advantage for students. It hard work, true, but most students say its worth it. One on the best things about it is you receive college credit for it. Can you really afford to not take this opportunity? Maybe your thinking you want too receives a good grade; AP or Advanced Placement courses score the grades on a point system. Points score the system from 1 to 6 (six being the highest) AP and college and university boards recognize advanced classes more. Ms. Bettencourt reminds students to beware of scholarship scams. |
